Important

The union guys I know do work alot of hours and hard during storm work, the rest of the time is chilling in a truck and then 3 guys watching 1 guy do something. And they all make kick ass money!!

Michigan reminds me of Flordia, union/non union... I see the slowest mofos out here. I believe it's because there's no money up here. Any other place with any real growth, it's dog eat dog. You don't work, you don't work if you know what I mean.

We are guarding downed live wires because it's not a priority for them to come out...

I don't know what a priority is for them...

mac 'or how they aren't sued more often' gyvr

We had lines across a 4 lane highway and it still took REMC over an hour to get there, even though the southbound lanes were completely shut down.

Wow. Didn't realize there was so much bad weather out there last night. Never heard anything from my peeps at home. Harrison got the best of our laptop's screen, so I'm using the shitty BB browser and have yet to get Tapatalk.

Hey, Trixie... "Double rainbow!! What does it mean?!" If you're not familiar with that, check out youtube for double rainbow.

Got seats in and belts mounted.

Do you know if the guy is selling a tcase? ;)

If I put that on the front I foresee many tire purchases in my future.

no tcases...

and I can only imagine tire use...

I have a set of cutting brakes too, but I have dual levers.....Thinking about putting in tj since I have a selectable rear (lock up one rear at a time comp style), but the damn thing already turns pretty damn tight.

I thought about trying that some day. Does it make a big difference? Turning radius sucks in mine with the spool. Until I get a selectable in the rear ill just have to stick with stuffing the tire into trees to pivot around

This is actually called a staging brake, but it works for cutting brakes, but only controls both sides front or rear, not each side individually. This is what guys were using back in the day before the dual levers...

They are still $160 new.

Just letting you know, it should sell on ebay at some point.

mac 'not really sure what its worth used' gyvr

I had spools in the buggy, they locked up the rear just fine and yes the front end would pull around pretty good, was a bit of a pia with the manual tranny though.

Just watched a video of a tornado hitting a radio station that a friend owns and a friend works at in Washington, IN.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu74LnznLfs

If I had a go pro and was near one, this is where I would find a sturdy mount and set it up if I had time.

The video is crazy...

mac 'needs an edit, to make it a bit shorter, know anyone lol' gyvr

. Believe me when I say the people like me in the field do not get as much money as you may think.

Knowing what I made 20 years ago as an apprentice in school. I was gonna tell you, you need a better union...

He is talking about the union linemen.

But... seanR already did.

The wife convinced me to leave school as the only postings open at the time were Chicago Southtown and Joliet reporting centers. A lineman working out of Southtown had been shot on the line one day. The shooter thought he was there to shut off his mom's power.
