So did I. Two years ago at crawl. One and only break and it would have broke a 60 I bet too. I'm running smaller tires and way less gearing. You are going to break your jeep long before I will break my dumb 44 unless you wheel yours like a puss. Be ready to buy me beer at WF when you can't follow my dumb 44 around.

When I had my other 44 I broke 19 spline Yukon stubs a couple times. 30 spline RCVs, smaller tire, and less gearing will fix that.

Sure is. My old civic was easier. On most hondas you can pull the passenger side tire, then unhook the motor mount on that side and lower it down so everything is accessible.

I think I can probably get more out of my 30 than I have into it. Free housing and gears, 120 dollar alloy shafts w/ alloyusa ujoints, 180 dollar used aussie, 10 dollar zj tie rod, 100 dollar d30 rs cover. Most of it has been in three or more axles/jeeps by now, some parts have had 4 owners.
Really what will probably happen is I will put the aussie, cover, and shafts in my dd XJ and scrap what's left of the axle when I go 60 :eyes:
I can't wait to finish the axle I am building for the other MJ, it is such a horrible idea that it is going to make a lot of web wheelers very mad.

That's exactly what I was looking at for doing the service on the Vue. But all the Vues we looked at were trashed inside. Plus the dealer balked when I started saying... ohh well, if you want me to pay for one that needs its 100k service, you can drop the price $800, since that is what it will cost me at the shop.
