A long drive? More than a mile at speeds over 20mph.

I like the idea of trailering to the trail head.

I never put any effort into making it anything other than a trail rig.

The flames that make it look fast could be considered false advertising.

Need your opinions. I have a line on a guy that is wanting to sell his swing out tire carrier bumper off his yj for reasonably cheap. What's everyone's opinion on getting it and modifying it to fit my xj?? Wouldn't think it would be that hard.

main reason is I would have less in the whole bumper than I would just going out and buying the swing out spindle.

When trying to strip my 10/22 to install a extended magazine release, a pin holding in the receiver failed to come out. All the other pins were loose but that one. After three days of working, I took it to a gun smith and with the proper tools a couple minutes and it was out. I ordered KIDD pins to replace them since this is a common issue.

I took it to a gun smith who used a punch, but yes, it is the rear one. They didn't charge me anything.

Eventually it gets beat up after enough shots and will fall out on its own.
I have a high density plastic "recoil buffer" in mine instead of the steel pin.

A small punch set is cheap. If you plan to do any working on guns invest in a set and a good set of screwdrivers. A couple bucks extra and everything looks the way it did when you started.

I got a cheap punch set, but I guess I wasn't hitting it hard enough. The buffer pin in the upper back of the receiver is loose. This is what I bought to replace two of the three steel pins. Eventually I will replace the big pin also.

Finally registered/plated the Jeep in Minnesota since the WI registration ended in March... I'm paying way less than I was in WI, I'm beginning to like it here...

Lady left for the weekend... Before she left she managed to finish off what was left for beverages in the fridge... So I go to the 'store' down the street...

Came back with nothing but alcohol...
