the rider sits on the back of the seat and sometimes leans forward across it...without enough weight on the back the pump will push the ski clear out of the water....

I've seen them here three times in the past 2 years. I was in a car for two of them but when I was riding bikes with my kid that made me a bit nervous. It was less than 40 yards from us. Thank God a logging truck was coming down the road and honked at it or I think we would have had an issue.

Sold my 9mm and bought a .45 that week. 9mm is not enough for an animal that is bigger in body size than a full grown deer.

this is what i've been staring at since i got here on saturday...my damn eyes hurt. technology is pretty amazing now though. i walk around a theatre looking at this and push buttons and move things with the mouse while the guy out front runs the faders for the show. its not fun after staring at it for 12 hours or so a day, but it saves me from having to stand behind a sound board next to a house engineer and reach over his shoulders to fix things while he's trying to follow along in the script

As a person who somewhat reluctantly gave up a blackberry for an iphone... I would imagine that having physical things to move just gives you a lot better feeling of control than dragging controls with a mouse. But even worse I can't imagine doing that over VNC, even over a local connection doesn't the stuttering and lag bug you a bit?

its not the best system, but for this particular console, its the only way to remote connect with it (stupid windows based platform)...some of the other boards i use have standalone software that runs independent and just connects remotely to the board when the connection is there. it runs a lot smoother and is perfectly in real time. HOWEVER...this board sounds amazing...so what it lacks in a smart interface, it makes up for in a lot of ways.

also i should say that most of what you do on this board can be done with a mouse or with the knobs on the board, so what im looking at is and exact copy of what the operator sees. i just program it to make it sound good and to make it so he is only ever operating 9 faders at the same time...as you can see there are a lot more than 9 shown here...and there is a whole other page under the 49-96 channel tab :) i do the programming and hit save for the snapshot...the operator hits the "advance" button to the next scene and everything changes for the next song or scene on stage. usually i have about 40-60 hours of rehearsal time to make it work...on this show i have about 12 which is why i've spent so much time behind the computer instead of at the board. my eyes hurt
