Why?

I've played with friends Iphones numerous times and didnt get why everyone loves them so much. Went with a droid for the second time when we got new phones about a year ago.

The only thing I like on an iPhone over android is iTunes. iTunes is the only place I buy music, so an Android iTunes app would be awesome (I know I am dreaming). I have used a few iPhones of friends, and the small screen and other things didn't impress me.

To start with a phone that doesn't lock up all the time. Has a reasonable battery life. An operating system that is stable and doesn't freak out all the time. I liked my original droid until I got the iphone4s.

I used to reboot my droid once a day, even when it was new, cause that's what you had to do.

we have a memory foam topped innerspring jobby.
I like it, aside from the fact that it can be warm.
My inlaws have a full on tempurpedic and have the same complaint.

About a month ago we bought a memory foam pillow top innerspring king bed. It's amazing.

EXACTLY what mac said, my driod had to be hooked to a charger all the time and then the constant locking up brought the suck...in the mac lingo "go iPhone or go home" :D

Lotta people drinking the Apple Kool-Aid.

I categorically refuse to use iTunes, it behaves more like a virus than an application. Don't get me started on QuickTime, that's even worse, it's one of the fastest ways to destabilize Windows (okay, not that Windows is stable to begin with...)

I think I've rebooted my Droid less than 4 times in the last year.

My x2 had an issue last week that required a factory data reset, I maybe had to reset my phone (take the battery out) a couple times in the past few months other then the issue I had with it that required a factory data reset.

itunes SUCKS....period. even on a mac...its very invasive and it pretty much tries very hard to take over the media on your computer. personally i prefer mp3 players that act like a storage device and let you transfer songs and videos when you need them.

that being said, i choose to not have a smart phone. it just seems like a waste of money to me. if i need internet on a trip, i use a virgin mobile 3g/4g usb stick thats pay as you go. my little 13" mac book is great for travelling. doing internet surfing on a little screen is too hard for my big fat fingers. some of the smartphone apps would be useful, but for a minimum upcharge of $30 a month for one line and $60 for two phones seems like a waste to be able to see radar and use a few apps. plus 90% of the people i hunt, fish and work with have smart phones so if i need something, i just ask them.

i did win an argument once between friends though. they were arguing about who's phone was better at a bar. they were saying "yeah well my iphone can do this" and "well my droid can do that" i finally said "screw you guys, can your phones do this" and i dropped my phone into a full glass of water and called it. then i pulled it out shook if off and put it back in my pocket. it shut them up pretty quickly. unfortunately, that was one of the only good things about the phone. im still in the process of arguing with verizon...today im going to escalate it to upper management. that usually is what it takes. last time i told them that it was bs that i didn't get a phone credit any more they gave me a "legacy customer" credit of $100...after 11 years, you would think they would give me something.

Put me on the tempurpedic fanboy list.

I have always had a screwed up back and felt better than I ever had before when sleeping on my foam topper on a regular spring mattress. Since I'm demolishing my house and rebuilding right now I have been sleeping on a couch in the dining room for a year now, it is pretty rough on the back and I am glad I nearly have a room ready.

Edit: craig you can get android smartphones that will handle that too. They piss me off as they don't have real keyboards, just onscreen, but they do exist.

<bangs head on desk> "Please to do the needful." I'm *SURE* there's a few people who've heard that phrase, and know why I'm just about ready to go postal.

I have... and I have.

really...so i spend all day on the phone trying to find a warranty replacement, and today they find one in 5 minutes. this may very well be the most frustrating experience with verizon yet. so i get the same POS phone that will die in 6 months (as all the others have as well) however, that does get me to the end of my contract. once the contract is up, it becomes a whole new ballgame. i think for now i may still order a phone off ebay to have since this piece of junk isn't costing me anything. that way when it does break, i already have a backup

I take pictures with my iPhone underwater. So yeah, mine can do that

How does that work? Is it an app?
