Done this. My dad was the plant manager at our shop for a long time (family business) he wanted to stay having different/less responsibilities. Hired new plant manager, He though he would tell me my idea of a fixture was ****, and his was better. So we bought it his way (i was pissed twice because he wouldn't let me build it), and his buddies that built it did it wrong. Got it back and it worked yes, but wasn't as efficient as my way. We got into it a little bit and ordered the second one my way. Then i went and asked him why and it was downhill from their. He told me a bunch of BS as to why he's smarter and older blah blah. I told him to "$%^& OFF!!!" and slammed his door shut (so hard i knocked my grandpas clock off the wall 2 offices down), and left. My dad never called or said anything to me (suprisinglly) and the next day the PM called me into his office and half *** said sorry. I did not, and we went on with things. Needless to say he hasn't tried to push me around or knock down my ideas since then.
Call it spoiled boss's kid if you want, most people do around here. But when I'm right, I am right. But can also admit when i am proved wrong.
