So my best man for my wedding next April is getting married a month after us. I am his best man.... Only problem is, Bec graduates the same day 2.5hrs away... I don't know what I'm going to do...
 
whelp...its official. im going to go pick up those axles sometime before my next nyc trip. for $150 they will be good to build up until its time to put them in..but right now if i would guess thats 2 years down the road. dan, i might be hitting you up for info sometime on how to make some custom radius arms for it. for now i have my 8.8 waiting for brackets to be welded in that will get me by and hopefully give me a few mpg's back from the stock gears.

I bought my front and rear 60s (mid 80s Ford kingpin front and late 80s Ford rear) for a grand total of $250 and didn't have to pull either out of the vehicle they came in.

I got a Ford F250 hd44 front (8 lug, but can be converted to 5 lug + high steer with chevy/fsj parts) for $250 with a rear 60 included.

Those are stock prices not geared/locked/alloy'd prices, but still, I would wait till you see a REALLY good deal, not just an OK one.
 
well i can turn around and sell them for more than $150 if i ever need or want to...$75 for a complete 9" makes the deal worth it to me. i rarely find 9" housings around here for less than $100 its a 31 spline 9 and is 65.5" wide...and as far as im concerned the $75 hp front 44 will do anything i ever need it to...if i change my mind, i can sell it to one of the nine zillion bronco builders in iowa. the axles are both complete and are already pulled...plus with the amount of crap that this guy has at his place, im going to keep buying stuff from him as much as i can...he has a nice manche just sitting there and a 1962 gladiator that is buried in his shed that is in great shape. hes already sold me and xj for $200 and a grand wagoneer for $300...im about one more trip to his house away from bringing home a willys too...though im not sure i would ever have time to restore it. its really rough! i look for front 60's here all the time and i've never seen one here for less than $400...there are way to many mudder/pulling trucks here in iowa. the way i see it, there is really no way i'll lose money on the deal...
 
ahhhh, back to work today after a week of vacation. I need a few more days to rest up from FestFest.....

We already made reservations at the campground and Lar took off Monday and Tuesday.
I do not think it would go over real well if I told her I was going the Cliffs for a day, she really really hates that place...
 
Well shit, 2 more weeks of toothlessness! I thought they had the impressions and stuff they need to build my tooth, I thought wrong. They are having it custom built. ITS GONNA BE PLATINUM!!!!! Not really, it will match the rest of my teeth.
