why not do the head gaskets?
Because the 2.5 motor(in this era Subaru) is a pile of dog dookie........Yeah it can be done but it involves pulling the motor since the heads on the DOHC motor will not come out inside the engine bay.
You love buying vehicles with junk engines apparently.
I have junk motors and frames and floors... flex has junk motors... fore wheeler has junk transmissions...

mac, were you able to get the stump dug up with that machine?
I have hired a fleet of 3 skid steers to work a week from today on a piece of ground that I rented. they are equiped with tree shears and I will have a grapple bucket on my skidder and we will have a loader tractor out there too....we ought to be able to put a hell of a dent in 40 acres in one day! Best part is, the guy that runs the crew of shears is indebted to me so it is only costing me my time and my fuel for my equipment! I sure cussed him when I had to haul cattle back from Texas for him and he never paid up.....it is gonna be cool to see some aerial photos of this place as a "before and after" project
