Yep, I'm religious on checking it every time I fuel it up (which is quite a bit unfortunately) and I run semi-synthetic oil. It's been in our family since it was a year old and since I've owned it the oil has been changed every 3k.

Trying to make it last as long as I can, but the 10-12mpg in town is getting old. Might be minivan time :smsoap:

It's crewcab diesel time. That's our minivan.

My 87 year old Grandpa passed tonight...it was a good life...he should be with Grandma tonight and that will make him happy!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your Grandpa Mac, but you nailed it when you said he had a good life and he will be w/ your Grandma now....reminds me a lot of teh passing of my Grandpa...6 months to teh day after the passing of Grandma...they said he died of a broken heart and wanted to be with her.

Vaya con Dios, Mac's g'pa.

Thanks, he lived 5 years longer than Grandma and has been ready to go see her since she passed. I can't imagine loving your wife that much :) j/k

I imagine if there's a golf course in the afterlife, he's there this morning playing a round...pain free.

And he's out of the hellhole of a nursing home he was in...

Doubt that would be much better. A CCLB diesel idling around town at 30mph or less 90% of the time wouldn't get any better mileage. I've been fighting the minivan since we had Caitlyn, but I think it's time.

Mac, sorry to hear about your loss.

scored a set of Warn Premium lock outs for the D60 today from a buddy that forgot he had them brand new in the box for $140...not to shabby!

Don't buy a Chrysler. They get shitty mileage! I can only muster 18mpg avg out of my 06 SXT, and that's on new plugs/wires, full syn oil, and properly inflated tires. The 04 Venture it replaced got over 20mpg on avg, and close to 30mpg on the (55) highway. We looked at the Kia's (loved gen two (06+) stay away from gen one) but that thing came along at a good price (well so I thought), but there is always something crapping out on it. The power lift gate broke this morning, and now we're using a broom handle to hold the hatch open. The power slider on the passenger side is always fing up, and we got lucky on the $800+ rear A/C condenser repair (only had to pay for the parts no labor, no freon).

GhostBusters 3 is set to start filming..it is officially a go!

Looking for a 99-03 Pontiac Montana or Olds Silhouette. Whatever I end up with will go straight into the shop and I'll tear it down to do head gaskets and lower intake gaskets. Once that's done it should be good to go for a long time. Keep 'em cool and a 3.4 will run forever.

this is what I've been up to lately. I had to mount my box above my winch & build a tire carrier ...
