why is it that when one thing is fixed on your rig...something else breaks at the same time...got my death wobble gone, really gone this time. however, on the way to my buddies house to fix it my ac compressor failed in a spectacular fashion. now i have no ac and i need to drive to the east coast in 2 weeks fml.

best options for new compressor? new? jy? steal on off of collins jeeps?

Dan, you better make sure that your junk will fit in an enclosed before you buy one. Also, make sure that its got at least 5200# axles for a 10,400 gross...the smaller ones wont cut it...but then what will you pull it with?u

yeah, like you I am drgeaming at this point. I think it is the most logical way to haul a jeep, and it also frees up garage space. I'm sure the tahoe would haul it, not as well as a diesel tho.

Whats the MWC's view on hack-n-tap sye's webdog has them for 100 bucks with free shipping right now. i have seen some good reviews and some bad on hack-n-tap's

i gots one...i have the dirtbound offroad one. must be something in the air the iro, RE, dbo ones are all on sale now to. i have taken mine on 2 five hour trips so far and it works great, no vibes at 4 inches, no weirdness. its a little scary to install, but i'm not worried about strength for the size of my rig

In 2002, I watched Rick Norman just hammering on his XJ coming out of Mickey's Hot Tub (Moab, Hell's Revenge.) His hack-n-tap held up fine, he fractured the pinion yoke on his 8.25 rear axle. It made a pretty impressive crack when it let loose.

BLoose had a used yoke, I had a new one with me. After getting winched out, he had it fixed in pretty short order.

Arrived in Gatlinburg on Sunday for a week. The whole way down here I was telling Brit I was hoping to see a bear. Well today on our hike to a waterfall we saw 2 bears that were only a couple feet away and was able to get some great pictures of them.

I'm always dreaming of the perfect set up. I think I'm pretty dang close now with being able to haul two around. That said, I'm always thinking, looking, dreaming...thus the 7.3 class b. The other option that I would consider is a gooseneck enclosed with living quarters up front and room for two in the garage...that or a hillbilly hauler with an open deck...all nice ways to roll down the road.

I stopped and looked at an FL80 version of basically this exact truck:

one of you guys needs to buy it.

I sent Nate a link the other day for a Peterbilt with a 108" sleeper and a 24 foot box. That was a sweet truck for $9500. Probably kill you in diesel, but you could haul whatever you wanted.

dammit! ac compressor locked on me trying to leave work...belt went SNAP...fml...anyone got a used compressor they need to sell. i had a bead on one a while back, but now the situation is a little more dire
