okay, another Bounder story...

lets start this out by knowing that i know i'm a dumbass (sometimes)...

went to charge the battery, with my big charger, and hooked the terminals up backwards rendering the bounder electrically dead.

if anyone knows how many miles of wire there is in a motorhome, you would understand how pissed I was at myself.

long story short, new battery, several new relays/breakers and one 50 amp max fuse, along with many hours of 100+ degree heat puts her back to life.

...oh, and the alt? it's fine!!! wtf? finally something went right with this.

I celebrated with 10 beers.

Fore 'taking her to Cedar Point next week' Wheeler

did I ever mention how tough of a gal my wifey is????? She has been building fence and clearing a hedge row for the past 3 days in this crazy heat...all while I am at my day job in the A/C. I just wanted to say how proud of her hard work and good work ethic I am.......she is 100% farm girl and not afraid to work and still cleans up DAMN GOOD!!

Cheese "cant believe she has kept me around this long" Man

Always good to have a harf working woman! hell mine makes more money than me lol.

K "not sure either chz especially after having to videotape you and flex" man

The hen rakes in some cash too, she would make more than me if she worked 5 days a week. If she worked more than 5 hrs a day and 5 days a week I wouldn't even have to work :D

Camille is a teacher, so she does not make a lot of money, but she makes a big difference.

Cheese "teachers deserve better pay" Man

<growf> Well, my vacation has officially taken a very unpleasant turn. Put the Dodge in 4wd tonight, and the front driveshaft came loose from the transfer case. Unfortunately, it's knocked a hole in the transfer case. I should be able to JBWeld a patch in place to get home.

Now I gotta figure out if it's a 23 spline or 29 spline input shaft.
Well, that ain't gonna work. Can't get a decent seal against the alloy case.

Seeing as we have a spare vehicle, looks like we're headed for home in that, rent/borrow a tow rig to come back and pick up this thing, and drag it home. Quad4x4 apparently has case halves available, so I'm thinking about just picking up the front case half (and trying to keep from just buying a whole rebuild kit.)

You can't get any better than Square D.
Benn in the business a long time....
Make sure all of the lugs are tight, NO! Have a qualified electrician check the lugs....

I won't be pulling the meter socket. Once I seen they had a numbered seal on it i figured I better call. They will disconnect for free and also do a complete inspection of the system. The lugs are tight. It was where the tabs for some of the breakers hooked onto the buss bar is where it's corroded and burned.

In fact the main breaker is the issue. It's currently a 100 amp system and they are going to inspect to see if my current feed will handle 200amp service. I know I need to then upgrade the incoming wire to the house breaker panel to 4/0. The garage has a separate 100amp service at 2/0. The house is only 4AWG currently, this is the reason I'd like to upgrade being the panel has gone to hell.

corroded and burned.

Caused by over heating, I bet there is a loose lug somewhere.
Electricity is strange, I have seen sometimes there is no reason for what happens.
I once saw a 480 three phase control box under water, live, the fuses where not blown, I have no idea how that happened.

You only need 2/0 for 200amp, and #4 will be fine for 100 amp.
The over head line from the pole can be quite a bit smaller than the wire in the riser pipe, could be as small as #4 with a 200 amp service. The power company does not have to follow the Nation Electric Code.
If you weren't so far away, I would lend a hand.

It bugs me when I message someone and say o have cash for their jeep and wanna drive 300 miles to get it. And they get online after I message them and they don't get back to me.

Haha, you really want that Jeep don't you?! :D Guess he's not really wanting to sell it. If i had the money i'd buy it to flip so I can get a TDI!

This entire restaurant is being rick-rolled as I type this! Hahahahahahaha!
