gimped around and helped where I could on the hay crew today. I was able to drive the truck and trailer and I could unload the trailers, but could not walk the fields to load the trailers. We threw about 300 bales in 2 hours, we are all freakin beat. it was 96 out and killer humidity. Have another field to do tomorrow and then off to the lake to try and enjoy the holiday weekend. I am taping a freezer bag over my foot so I can get in the water....redneck...well, a little! 
we always have a "Hay Feast" after our first day of square baling, so tonight it was fresh ground pork burgers, fresh made brats, baked beans 
assgas: , garden fresh fried zuccini, and washed it all down with a few Stellas. All in all it was a damn good day. :cheers:

it makes me sneeze just thinking about baling hay .

Going to be smoking a brisket (damn, it's hard to get it rolled up & lit,) mowing the lawn, and just not intent on doing anything much today.

I hobbled out to the shop and pulled the XJ in today. I am still going to try and go to SMORR on the 15th and wanted to run down what the popping in my steering is....well, I found part of it. My unibody is broke in 3 places and my track bar and snapped the bolt in two that is on the axle end!! I ended up getting the broke bolt out in 3 pieces and welded the cracks back and plated/gussetted the rest. Once it was all back together the popping is minimized and I think it is coming from one of my QA1's. Looks like one of the misalignment spacers is catching at full lock and making the noise...it is driving me nuts. I guess I could set my steering stops about 1/4" in and it may solve the problem. :dunno:

Some of you on Facebook already know, but I towed home a new project Saturday.
96 ZJ Limited, 126k, 5.2L, 249, 3" Skyjacker, 265s, color-matched (read: purple) ARB bumper, K&N FIPK, all the interior goodies...... $900. Runs pretty good, I haven't driven it much except on and off the trailer. PO bought it waterlogged from the sunroof leaking, stripped the interior to clean it and lost interest. The tie rod adjusting sleeve had also broken, rendering the steering useless and he didn't know how it fix it :wierd: $13 later and it drives fine besides the clunking track bar.
Plan for now is to get the dash and back seat in place and drive it. Hopefully we will get a wrecked ZJ at the tow yard soon and I can snag the interior panels and a 231/242. He gave me all of the panels minus the fubar carpet and headliner, but they were pretty beat up and ugly tan. Should make a good DD/weekend wheeler. The ghey ebay mesh grille has been removed and the P/S nerf bar will be soon also.

that color and painted to match ARB at first reminded me of BigCountry's ZJ that was at WF09....bit his had Clayton LA set up and other goodies. Still looks to be a good deal and the price sounds right.
