anyone know where i can find stats on the decline of off road parks?
You have a relay that needs constant power and a ground.
You have a switch that needs constant power and a ground.
The lights need a ground. Clean without paint under the wire!
The switch gets flipped, power makes the relay trip and send the power to the lights. The relay keeps the load from going through the switch.
This is ignoring the highbeam hacking. Doubt I'm helpful, but it's this simple.

PS: wired mine the way HELLA says and man that auto on with the HB's is nice!
Relays.
Learn them, live them, love them.

Head(s)? What for an engine you got in there? I'm not doubting you've got 2 heads, just wondering which V- configured engine you're running to get an idea for myself of what you're doing for 300hp.I order some go fast parts yesterday for the mj. Got a cam, a set of aluminum heads, full roller rockers, hardened push rods, an aluminum water pump, and a bigger throttle body. Hopefully will be in the mid to high 300 range.

buried my chore truck today....
Camille came to the rescue in my XJ...as if her in her tank top driving the rig was not hot enough...when she said "you want me to pull you out or use the winch".....I almost started to fap one.
Oh damn, 300+ isn't even breaking a sweat. I've seen 300 in a GM4.3 from mostly bolt-ons. Fuel injected or carb?Small block chevy

What are you looking for?
Off-Road Parks...
Or
Public Land to Wheel on (not a "Park" but some people refer to some spots that way).
That I am aware, few Off-Road Parks are going under. With the popularity of ATVs, Jeeps, Trucks, OHMs, and side-by-sides, there are a lot of users looking for someplace other than the flat public trails available to them. There have been a few instances of new parks being shut down due to neighbor issues, but that is more of a "Failure to Launch" issue. Paragon lost it's bid to stay open due to airport construction, and RORP leased their land, and the land owner changed. Hannibal Rocks appears to be having some issue, but it is not greenie connected.
Public Land however is a different story. Untold acreage has been reassigned as "Wilderness" under the Clinton, Bush, and present admins. There was also the drive by the NFS to inventory every road and decommission roads not considered necessary. That cost users billions of miles of access throughout the US. Those figures can be found on such sites as the Blue Ribbon Coalition and Americans for Responsible Recreational Access (ARRA). You may have to dig, and send out some emails, but you should be able to get some answers.
