Losing Lil Guy sucks but the worst is watching your wife and kids cry knowing there is nothing you can do to make them feel better.

i guess in this example its hard for a 3 year old to grasp, but losing things we care about is a life lesson. a close friend, family member, a lover... it happens. but only something truely amazing could bring that much pain. those feelings never go away. the key is to have a good support group and slowly, with each day, one learns to live with the pain.

As much as I don't like cats I wouldn't recommend saying that bit about antifreeze "out loud", i'd compare it to pictures of illegal wheeling or talking about removing your catalytic convertor.

Might be looking into a new vehicle/dd/tow rig. Rather than replace the Overland with another I'm looking at something kinda rare, ugly and a gas hog. Ex forest service 3/4 ton 4x4 Chevy, 8.1 L w/ a 6spd manual. Its out of Montana, super clean and low miles. I've been dragging my feet on getting something new waiting for something to just kind of show up.

Let's not get too righteous, I really don't think any of us would torture animals. I do use poison along with many traps to kill mice and moles, but be real clear I have never tortured a pet. Humor is just that, humor. Joking about doing horrible things is a LONG cry from doing it. To know us on a non internet level you would know to laugh us off and call us sick f'ers.

I might come of as a bit righteous...I saw a lot of stuff in my daughters 13 years of working in an emergency vet hospital.
Plus now that she just graduated as a full fledge vet I've got to figure how we're going to deal with the $145K education bill.
