Important

And I forgot to add. I'm going to try and go red this month. I just have to convince the wifey to it. I just had to reup for the local club so she may not go for it. I'll see if I can work some of my magic on her.

Parakeet

Anyone is welcome as long as they meet the requirements... I think in the past what has been an issues is those that do not want to pay the registration/dinner fees are not allowed to participate...
Correct.
But...
Keep an open mind, the park is open to everyone, not just WF participants.
In other words, not all XJs may be participants.

Shooting is completely legal for anyone allowed to legally to operate a firearm. Owning anything full-auto requires said Class III tax stamps/license. This also applies to SBR's, suppressors, and "destructive devices". Then you also need a new stamp for everything you purchase that falls under the whole Class III thing. For example if you were to build a short-barreled, suppressed, full-auto AR w/ M203 launcher you need a tax stamp/registration for all of those parts. The whole 1986 thing applies too; you can build an AR around a registered auto-sear that dates back that far but every other part can be new.

That applies to the average Joe, it may differ for law enforcement because I know some agencies allow you to buy your own AR as long as it conforms to their specific standards.

This is as much as I know, I don't have the desire or need to own something full auto. Just the desire to shoot one, one day. This is mainly because with the paper work involved your local authorities know you have it and I don't need them assuming that I have a armory and drawing attention to myself like that. Also, for the entry price into that "club" (depending on which route you go) you can buy a Barrett and some ammo!

1986 only applies to FA arms. Everything else can be had new.

Yeah, I don't need to lay down cover fire. No auto needed but a suppressor for a .22, now I could have fun with that! :D

I have no idea how in the hell I am going to have everything ready to make it out of here 7:00 Wednesday morning for WF. I am actually starting to stress over it :banghead:

I hate to say it, but bacon explosions may not make the cut this year...I have all the fixins for them but no time to make them bc they take about 3 hours to make and I have 5 of them to make....not looking good for the home team.

LATEST WINTERFEST DEVELOPMENT:

Pop-up Camper is a no-go situation, checking if theres any last minute cancellations at Attica Inn...

Plan B: Tenting at the Campground, not a huge issue except it will be hard on father, trying looking into finding a air mattress for him.

Plan C: Getting a hotel room 30ish miles away... I don't care if I have to drive to and from the event each day, I'm coming!

I have the worst luck ever, but it's not stopping me now!...

If someone comes through Terre Haute, I can let you borrow my air mattress and air pump since I won't be there until Saturday.

Glad it's not stopping you. You should be able to find some sleeping arrangement, or clean out the Jeep, remove the lower seat cushion, and sleep in the back (it's actually quite comfortable)

No, worse luck ever is after spending the afternoon breaking down the 33's and cleaning out the beads, airing them up and making sure they don't leak...

then backing into the garage and running over a piece of that 1/8" steel landscaping retainer (still partially attached to the garden) and ripping the sidewall out of a rear tire :smsoap:

If you are not bringing bacon explosions, you might as well just stay home!

I know, I feel the same way about it. I am going to bring all the supplies to make them and just make them on site. I will start after Friday mornings trail runs and hope to have them all prepared and cooking to be done in time for the potluck. Last year I premade/cooked them and just heated them up on the grill...this year, fresh made on site especially for you and mac! AND DAN

with all the excitement of this one of my buddy's went out and bought a stock to the bone XJ yesterday and wants to go to WF, he has not one thing on the requirements list so if any one knows of a front hook setup and a rear hitch let me know
