Important

I've never had shine.
I'd like to try it sometime though. Try=tatse.

It's a good idea to be sittin' down the first time you try it...... that way, you don't have quite so far to fall.

Spirits

You cannot produce spirits for beverage purposes without paying taxes and without prior approval of paperwork to operate a distilled spirits plant. [See 26 U.S.C. 5601 & 5602 for some of the criminal penalties.] There are numerous requirements that must be met that make it impractical to produce spirits for personal or beverage use. Some of these requirements are paying special tax, filing an extensive application, filing a bond, providing adequate equipment to measure spirits, providing suitable tanks and pipelines, providing a separate building (other than a dwelling) and maintaining detailed records, and filing reports. All of these requirements are listed in 27 CFR Part 19.

Spirits may be produced for non-beverage purposes for fuel use only without payment of tax, but you also must file an application, receive TTB's approval, and follow requirements, such as construction, use, records and reports.

I'm thinking that I'm happy that I like to drink beer.

Too much gov regulation to make your own shine.

Next I s'pose you will tell me I can't shoot my full auto AK-47, huh?

Shooting it? Beats me. Possessing it? Without a Class-III Fed license, probably not. Just itching to get a visit by a BATF agent, arentcha?

I'm right there with ya. I don't disagree that there's an attraction to distilled spirits.... but the potential penalties are pretty stiff.

move to Missourri, the only state that has a law tat says it's OK to have a personal still. Of course when the federal revenuers show up...

It was built before 86 right, RIGHT?

so what if they do? nothing illegal going on here. just a formal discussion over indiana laws, jeeps, guns, cheese, and bacon.

is that automatic bacon gun for home defense?

I'll be over to steal everything from your living room next Thursday, you should stock up on ammo now. I'm neither Jewish nor Muslim so you will probably need an extended clip.

I have a cheese still in my shop. and an automatic bacon gun.

The event starts Friday.

Why can't they join in? If they meet the requirements have them register and enjoy the weekend.

Anyone is welcome as long as they meet the requirements... I think in the past what has been an issues is those that do not want to pay the registration/dinner fees are not allowed to participate...

I wish there was two options for the event, one with dinner/raffle and one without that is cheaper.

Cheaper than $30.00?

Yeah, I wouldn't pass tech this year (no recovery point in rear), but I am not interested in dinner or the raffle really. I would head home right when the park is done for Saturday. Like an option to participate in the group rides in the morning at a cheaper price.

I did get an important part of off roading today.

Also, my air compressor I got as present came with those stupidily thin coil air hose. Today I bought a heavier air hose that won't break as easily and tonight at work I put couplers on it. All I got left to do is put a coupler on the air compressor it self and I will be in business.

WF is about way more than a day of wheeling. You miss 80% of it if you skip dinner, the raffle and campfire.

To each his own though...

Really head to a Jeep Jamboree. I want to say it was well over $200 to attend one. I've quite often seen event entry's in the 75-100 for a weekend long event. Every event that we have is $30 for the day long event. $30 for a weekend long event with awards and a probably other goodies is a freaking steal.
