since the begining of dec. i replaced all the bulbs in the house with those floresent things, got a HE washer and dryer,re placed the thermostat with an electric one and insulated a room that once had none why the %&*! is my nipsco bill twice as much

My g/f is paying the utilities this morning, and came out swearing at the electric bill. I have a 30A electric heater out in the detached garage that I almost never use. I had it running for a couple of days early in the billing cycle, and it looks like it burned through $40-60 of electricity. Which is why I don't like running it.

Did they actually do a reading, or was it estimated? Conversely, was it estimated and now they've done a reading and billed you for the difference?

Columbia gas was good for that on us, the meter was in the basement, so they would estimate it the whole year, then have us send in the reading, then send us a stupid bill.

im thinkin this is what happened, the wife did the bills and was just telling me what the price was

just from a quick measurement I am afraid my slide in camper is not going to work on teh new truck w/o some modifications. The jacks are not tall enough and I am afraid they will not clear the tires. So I need to make the brackets to sit out another few inches each side and add about 6" of height adjustment to them to be able to back the truck under it. All in all, 1.5 months to WF and it is cold as hell out and I can not fit it in the shop...probably the haunted hotel again this year.....

Big Hank and I used to put the Big Sleazy's jack feet up on cinder blocks when it was time to load it in his Dodge. The truck was taller than stock and had larger tires, although on stock wheels. We would also compress the rear suspension with large ratchet straps to pull the bed down if necessary. I'm thinking your blang wheels will be your biggest challenge.

Really? Really? Seriously? After how you praised the camper from the great trip to Redbird? I can't believe a little "fab" work is going to keep you from the campground...that is where the party is...those bed brackets that I told about will work since you bought a Ford.

I had to fab brackets to get my camper in the F450 because of the dually. A poor farmer like you doesn't have money to stay in a hotel...you have a mobile hotel. Now get to work!

I have this helmet and it works well for what it costs. I would like to get one with a bigger viewing area, but this one does well for what it is.

Tonight on the Speed Channel at 7pm est, Lucas Oil "On the Edge" will have coverage of the XRRA Jellico competition from July of 2010. Look for the #302 buggy. Wasn't a great weekend for us, but still there's good coverage of rock racing.

There will also be a bunch of reruns of the same program during the week.

Oops, forgot.

Don't u have a front end loader/fork lift?

I do have a loader w/ forks but I backed the camper into one of the sheds and can not get behind it or beside it with a loader for how I backed it into a hole with the old truck. I will need to drag it out with another truck that can get under it and then work on it else where. I "may" consider messing with it, but right now I am battling this gawdamn truck again..thought it was fixed yesterday and now new problems today. I am sending it to the shop next week and possibly to auction the week after that if it causes anymore immediate problems.....I will have wasted around $3000 in less then 2 weeks dicking around with this truck shit....F it, I may just buy a 2011 and be done with it.

With all of the energy efficient appliances and light bulbs, the power companies are not making the money they used to, so they had to raise their rates.

true, the cost of transmission and maintenance is not going to decline just because they sell less electricity.

And they still need to pay four guys in two trucks to sit along the road for five hours at a time.

That reminds me, today I saw two state snow plows, following each other, one after the other, plowing a highway that already had dry pavement...on a Saturday no less!
I am glad my income taxes are going up 70% to pay for that.

I know what state you(we) live in!!!

I've been using that helmet for 5-6 years now. I've had to replace the head band a few times, but besides that it works great for spectating while others weld ( I'm unable to keep my hands from shaking enough to stay anywhere near the puddle)

I bought an auto darkening helmet from Northern and it was around $100. I have had it 2 years without any problems at all.
