In trying to refinance I've learned that the appraiser thinks my house is worth 10 to 15k less than what I paid for it...2.5 years ago...

We are refinancing now also, but our appraisal went up $6000.00!
It has appreciated $15,000.00 since we bought it 25 months ago.
I don't think I could sell it for the appraised value, but it helps the refi.

for 31K that does not lok bad at all...it even has its own "blue room" 31K does not buy much more then a down payment now a days, so I think it would be a good starter place unless it needs a bunch of hidden work.

my first house cost $44k, and it was a pos. turned it in two years made $10k and built new when the interest rates droped from 12% to 8%. what a savings that was!!

we would love to build a new house on the farm somewhere and if it were to sell, we will keep back enough acres that we can still do that. Just cant swing having 2 mortgage payments and a farm payment as well....but maybe the lotto will swing my way one day. I guess I have to play first to be able to win though huh?

All this house talk... and soon (if all goes well!) I'll be selling mine. Got the keys to the new apartment/shop last night. If I get out of work before it's dark I'll get some pics of it.

I could park 6 vehicles inside and still throw a hell of a party.

Today I get to try and make room in my garage for two xj's. This will be interesting. I will be starting the long arm and axle swap in the next week. Glad the garage is heated, I don't mind the cold, but a freezing cement floor sucks to lay on!!

Good friend of mine rolled it in the spring. Seen a deer and hit the brakes, the rear passenger side locked up on him and sent him for a ride. Nice that it is local, I don't have to go far to pick it up.
