Important

Downtown-Ish. After we go look at it I am gonna head home. most likely gonna buy it. my buddy drove it and it sounds like it needs an axle u joint. the window master switch is bad from what he described to mebut I have a set and a bunch of extra parts. It sounds like the motor is solid too.

Took my son to the conservation club this morning. We didn't have a bit of luck fishing.. So we walked through the new range there. He filled his pockets with brass..Asked if he could take them home. I told him he could keep two of each kind we found. Mom just rolled her eyes at us. He has been asking all morning if we can go back.

Installed S.S front brake lines yesterday, went to the local racing shop and bought 22in lines, figured that should be long enough... Just can't ever let DOT find out they aren't approves ;)

Didn't buy that jeep. If it was my cash you bet your ass I would have. Since my buddy has to drive it for a while and he commutes 35 miles to work, he needs something ASAP that is ready to go. its up to him if he wants it so he might decide to get it anyways since its cheap.

Cruised through the Iola Car Show today. Wasn't looking for anything but its always neat to see the cars out there.

Met my dad (first I'd seen him since the crash) there and he was really happy to see me. Gave me a talking to, and I'm wondering when I'll actually just learn from his mistakes. :D

sounds like a weekend would have gotten it ready to go.

I know but with me working 7 days a week and him living 40 miles away and having no mechanical skills it would have been hard to get done and he has to have something to drive. I am hoping he changes his mind and buys it anyways.

wow..Southern Missouri whooped my ass again...hung out a few hours friday at SMORR w/ Macgyvr and the Branik guys (and gal) ...good bunch of people there. Met up with some old college and work buddies for a few beers..which turned into an all nighter and did not get to bed til just about 6 AM Saturday. I slept through the KOHQ and did not even make it to the folks house last night till about 6..I am getting to old for this shit.

After seeing those buggies..I have buggy-a-cidis....want one bad now, but not in the cards right now......

Me too. All roads lead to buggy. I'm still relatively new to all of this and whenever I daydream about building a vehicle up, it always turns into a buggy.

I wish I had the skillz to turn a pile of toob into a vehicle.

Nah... "No" roads lead to buggy.

Any "road" time, especially a daily driver, leads to a much more careful balance...

Robert

Haha, I see what you did there... I guess "roads" was a bad word choice there. At any rate, I wasn't trying to say that everyone should build a buggy, but just that when I start dreaming and thinking about my own needs, things start off simple and usually end up with a buggy.

I'll give props to all of the daily-driving weekend warriors out there since I won't trust mine to make it through a day of wheeling and get me back home.

so, it's nearly 1 AM. No hope of sleeping anytime soon. I really want to take a belt sander to my leg.

poison oak sucks. Upper Damnation still haunting me a week after the crawl.

Still have the XJ. The YJ I was possibly trading for ended up being a turd. Wasted an entire day and 25 gallons of diesel towing it to Indy and back.

Got an offer from a guy in CA though, we'll see what pans out.

I hear ya Nate, I have poison on both shins from knee to ankle...that is what I get for stringing new fence in shorts.

Doug, I had the same thing happen on Friday night...went to KOHQ and met up w/ Macgyvr for a few beers, and those few beers turned into an all nighter running all around Springfield with some old college buds.....saw the sun go down and come up on that run....and saw my dinner 2 times as well :puke: :D

Cheese "still itchy and hung over 48 hours later" Man

Plates are due on the Jeep in August. In the process of renewing I stumbled across Indiana's personalized license plate reservation page. Talk about a distraction. It's a fun game to try and find something clever that isn't already reserved.
