Tell me about it!
I must have something she likes. :dunno:

Thanks for the congrats guys!

I have had one of those evenings from hell. Nothing went right on the Jeep project, bad day at work and Case got in trouble at daycare, then in more trouble at home and I get to be the "bad guy" disciplinarian. I need a f'n fvacation....I am about ready to throw in the towel on this damn Jeep project.......

I'm picking the Truck up in Indy tomorrow...driving graces car, shoe horned the 6 ft ramps from the 34ft trailer into her car so i can use them to put her car on the single place to tow her car home behind the truck. the single place ramps are only 3 ft long and as low as her car sits to the ground i don't think it would get on the trailer without hitting in the middle of the car loading it up.

should be interesting to say the least...

Don't you have like 8 other vehicles you could take? What is she gonna drive while you're doing that?

Working till 4pm today, then Heading to Cadott WI (about 1-2hrs away) for Country Fest.
Max-Bilt is offering a 'Max-Bilt Experience' to all of the artists performing during Country Fest. Phil the owner knows the coordinator of the fest so hopefully when I come back Sunday, I'll have pictures of famous people that rode in my Creep... :)

Hopefully in two week I'll be getting some Old Man Emu leaf packs to replace mine, then i just gotta try an get tires before the MO trip...

24 years

19 years first marriage & 5 years (and counting) on second. Yes, both to same woman. ;)

FML.

so I called summit to see where the hell my replacement fuel pump is, since they've had my return for a while. The website said give them 7 days and it's been past that.

They don't have one in stock. Called the manufacturer and they won't be arriving from China for another 3 weeks.

So now I get to pony up some more cash for an Aeromotive pump that will work.

F this Fing Jeep.

On the plus side I hackedup some wires and made this ancient Tekonsh brake controller mate up to the 03 silverado we'll be driving to the crawl. Picking up the trailer this weekend.

87 "tow rig is done" manche.

summit comes through, called back with my credit card info to verify it, CSR had just discounted the aeromotive pump price and done an even exchange.
I was going to pony up the extra 30 bucks to make it happen, but the Summit guy took care of it.

A phone call or email would have been nice wiht a heads up, but at least they took care of it in the end, no yelling or screaming involved.

That's at least decent customer service. I haven't bought from Summit in several years, but, they do have a lotta good stuff there.

I've been looking around for some stainless steel for a completely unJeep project. Stopped in at a big steel supplier here, and just about coughed up a lung. Over $6,000. Not only NO, but aitch-ee-double-hockey sticks NO. Checked Metal Supermarket (found out they have an outlet 5 miles from work.) Not only does MS have what I want, but for less than 10% of what the other supplier wanted. Guess who gets my business. (and yes, I know... there's gotta be something else going on there. Don't care, I'll get what I need at MS.)

Picked up my Detroit Locker this morning for my rear D44 project. Gotta pick up a good dial indicator, and a big pipe wrench (to hold the pinion yoke,) and a dead blow hammer.

And....... ordered a 10k 102"x18' flat deck trailer yesterday.

So what you're saying is you'll be making the Hannibal Rocks trip? :laugh3:

What's the trailer for? Must be something pretty sizable if it's that wide and heavy.
Go big or go home. On a slightly more serious note, when it comes to trailers, less ain't more, it's trouble. While the XJ would fit on an 82", 7k trailer, that's not necessarily all that will be on the trailer. May rent a skid steer from a co-worker for a couple of weeks, this trailer will gracefully haul it without sweating.

Unfortunately, no. I'm still trying to get things squared away to get to Moab in October.

The idea is to hit the Fall Fling, and tool around for a few days after.
