Important

I've not touched my Jeep since the Redbird Cleanup. Jim parked it behind the house and it's been there ever since.

Just lost power... To half of my house. Pulled the panel and I've got 120v to neutral on one leg and nothing on the other. Called the power company but I've never heard of anything like this happening.

Bet you've lost a leg at the transformer. Either the transformer's at fault, or something bad farther up the line.

Oh, that's not good if you've got any electronics or anything with a motor on that side of the box.

Yea, I know that can mess up just about anything that isn't an incandescent lamp. Luckily I was using most of my electronics when this happened, and I want to keep using them so I got the extension cords out and moved everything to the good circuits.

Apparently it was a problem in the secondary wiring between the transformer and my meter; they ran new cable from there to my meter. I guess they'll be back tomorrow to run it underground where it belongs. I told the guys I'd hold off on mowing for a few days. :D

Turns out they were on-call guys, not on a shift, so I apologized for bringing them out, since I know how much being on-call sucks (and most of my problems I can fix remotely!)

Bad idea!!!!
If that ever happens again, switch the main OFF!
You will start to loose appliances soon.

So many vehicles have factory tint on the rear glass, I like having just enough on the front to match.

And yes, IL likes to take licenses away. Only upside to their communism is making IN look better by comparison, which is a tough thing to do.

I had my front windows done 15% and then they put 15% on top of the back privacy glass...its like a limo in the back...

mac 'got tint?' gyvr

Well, I was going to be ordering another locker in about 3 months...that's getting pushed back about 6 more weeks. After a talk with my brother last night and me telling him how much he needs to go to school instead of wind up working a factory or some other senseless, manual labor for pennies like his dad and big brother. So, I'll be funding his test for some computer certification.

I agree. Its already too much of a waste for him to be a convenience store clerk. The kid's just too damn smart for that. He said he didn't know what he wanted to study if he went to college, I said "study whatever, you'll figure it out" then he said he didn't have money, I told him student loans...same crap everybody told me when I was his age. Luckily, he is still smarter than me.

I just got rained on :bawl:

i was on my lunch break, trying to put on a gastank skid plate, got one bolt on each side throw the hitch up there one bolt on one side and working on the other when a couple drips hit me i look up in the sky its dark as all hell i started screwing as fast as i could (lol) then it just droped on me a straight down pour, i scrambled to get all my tools up and in the truck

at least i got one bolt in on each side of the skid and the hitch so i can drive it home today and finish in my garage
