Go Bengals! WHO-DEY!!!
That makes three of usI did the same thing......
Thanks.
I don't really care for the blue lenses but, they were the only ones that I could find that would fit the opening in the bumper. They are the same ones that JCR offers. I was hoping I could find non-bluey ones. They're MUCH brighter than my previous setup. I can do shadow puppets on the neighbors garage door across the road.![]()
Is there an easy way to wire back up lights like that?
I was thinking of just piggy backing off of the stock reverse light circuit, then maybe a relay wired up to aux reverse lights?
I've got mine setup to come on when in "R" and also on a toggle switch on the dash. I use the stock R circuit to trigger the relay, as well as the toggle switch on the dash. I've got a diode in the right spot to keep it from backfeeding. Pretty simple.
Same Here, Nick. 71 hours this week( it was supposed to be 72 but I was an hour late this morning) Working on a Cummins can't be that bad. What engine series is it?
Please tell me that you've got a relay!?!I piggy backed mine right off the R lights
bad old cell pic but just for and idea...

cut holes in stock bumper. bolted in cheap wal*mart 55w lights. wired to R lights. done
That sounds pretty solid I guess, where did you run the wires through the back half of the Jeep? Just inside the plastic trim pieces and then through the floor or something?
Please tell me that you've got a relay!?!
If you don't you need to. You have a fire hazard there. The stock wiring was not intended to run 55W bulbs. I wire up lamps everyday at my job.(QA Lab Tech for an OEM lighting manufacturer) I've seen what can happen. Not to belittle, but if you don't have relay in there, it's very unsafe.
Also got a line on a front Dana 60 and rear 60 FF (matched set) and a rear 60 SF. I can get each for sub-$500, if anyone is interested let me know what details you need and what they'd be worth to you, and I will see what I can do.
