I get the remorse thing right before I pull the trigger. I've done that 3-4 times now. Talk to the bank, they tell me to write the check and they'll cover it. Then the next day I talk myself out of it.

Don't see myself smoking tires on it any time soon. Cost too much to replace them when there bald lol.

I been stressed about this since I made the decision to buy it. Notes are similar to the Commander but I was 2 years from owning it. Back to 5 years now. But I have a feeling this one won't get traded anytime soon.
 
that ford kinda looks like the one i took to prom, it was an 07 though and black. a very fun truck to drive, i got to take it to my baseball game too. i had a blast in it! 5.4L ftw!

Take decent care of it and it will last forever.

My former tile-setter had over 160k miles on the original plugs in his 5.4 van, and it still ran great.
 
Time to start getting the jeeps ready for winter. Need to switch tires on both dd jeeps, a couple axleshaft u-joints, oil changes, and a few more items. I have a 242 to go into the wife's 98, just need to find the ambition to do it.:D

Nice truck. Looks like you will be riding in style.

Keep on eye on the rear disk brake system. We ran 15 "2006" Ford's from F-150's and 250's to E-150's to 350's and what happens is the calipers stick a bit. We ended up destroying three rear axles before we started having our repair shop grease the slide points on the calipers. Found that 8 out of 15 trucks had issues with the rear calipers. It was mostly the vehicles that would be in snow and salt for most of the winter. Just keep an eye on it. We monitored ours by watching our MPG's and checking the rear brake system after a long haul to see if the heat was a bit excessive.

Otherwise very reliable and comfortable vehicles. Last one was turned in at 275000 miles and still was purring like a kitten. Now they gave me a 2009 Chevy Express AWD. It's great till you get freezing rain, any touch of the accelerator makes the whole truck slide to the ditch. Would rather have the option of selectable 2wd

Thanks for the heads up. I have to make a trip to Louisiana for Christmas. So I will be checking them out. I been reading on a f-150 forum to see what people are having problems with and it is very sporadic. Nothing seems to a major concern.
 
Nope they are a darn good truck.If I had the cash up front I'd buy one. I just hate having a car payment. I turned mine in with 218000 miles and only did tires on it and brakes once. They did change a trans line at the radiator but that was my fault. I hit a bear. They also had to reundercoat it as almost a third of the miles was driving down Michigan and Wisconsin gravel roads.

Being you live in Kentucky I do not believe rust on vehicles is really bad like the vehicles in the UP of Michigan and northern WI. I bet you will not have any issues with the brakes.

Watch those F150 forums. When I had a 2000, I logged on and it nearly scared me all the "problems" that people were having, but I guess when its the most popular truck sold for the last 30 years you're bound to have a few with problems. I don't know about the 08, but the 00 that I had, the spark plugs were cumbersome, not impossible and no worse than my dad's old 92 4.3 blazer either. Just be careful if you ever have to do them and buy the best plugs you can buy...my 00 brakes also rusted to pieces, which is one reason I refuse to buy a truck that has spent any of its previous life in Michigan again...

Enjoy that King Ranch interior, I am definately jealous I hate the church pew cloth in my dodge...

Just got an executive notice that we are able to leaev 2 hours early today...too bad I am swamped and can not take the time. I am going to use the quiet time once everone else is gone to work like mad so I can take Friday off....I would rather give up those 2 hours of "free time" then worry about what was left undone while I am off for 4 days wheeling!! Ahhh, who am I fooling, I would not worry about shit once I have the Heep loaded and rollin' south! :D
 
Way to be, Tyler! The only thing I take home from work is cuts and scrapes...and my $.50/hour of course.

once 330 rolls around i am free from all things work related both for the city and part time til monday at 3pm...
