Was pretty sweet... until the Incident. Still an good thread to read through.
So I sold my Tercel and now I've got about $1000 to drop on a cheap, fun car for the rest of summer. Looking at a 4x4 Tracker, gets decent mileage, lightweight, decent handling, and the top comes off. Might even take the thing to the Badlands once.
Any other ideas for a fun vehicle that'd be cheap to acquire? And yea I know I *should* spend the money on the Jeep, maybe get real bumpers, etc. etc.

Yea if I got a Sami though then I might start wheeling that too much, then I might forget about all of you guys, can't let that happen. Tracker would basically be a DD for me.
I have considered getting real bumpers, but the bolts for the rear bumper mounts rusted, rounded off, and generally immovable, and my right front frame rail has been bent up since I got it. And I lack fab skillz.

Old neighbor had one. He beat that thing out on the trail's They do ok. Although they seem very unstable to me. He was not happy when he heard his wife was stuck in the snow with it and my stock XJ drove down the hill pulled her out and made it back up. :laugh3:
