Important

Our back yard has been a bit on the low side ever since we've lived here. Last week I finally got some dirt delivered. The next day we got a big rain. So I had a big pile of mud in my back yard. Two days go by and no rain so, I had been offered the use of a really nice JD tracked skid-steer. So, Sunday afternoon I go get the skid-steer and move mud up closer to the house. It made a mess out of the back yard, but it's not horrible. All I was thinking about was free use of a skid-steer and how it would save me a a TON of time and effort moving the dirt/mud. Fast forward to last night.....more rain.:tears: Now, I have large amounts of standing water up against the house. So, this morning I went out with a shovel and started trying to get it to drain the best I could, which is working.....it's just going to take a while. Anyway......during the process of attempting to get the water to drain, I reenacted Rev's face plant@ Redbird. Yep, face first into the about 2" of muddy water and soaked from head to toe.
Moral of the story.......don't be like Rev.:D

Well done!

Speaking of "different" jeep's, I saw a right hand drive second gen XJ on my way into work yesterday. O, and work doesn't filter our internet. :D

Yesterday, I became a Dudits Priest.
I am now a Reverend of the church of the Latter day Dude, or Dudesim as we call it.
So when Rev can not help you with your problems, hell don't call me, Just remember, The Dude Abides!

I have a lead on a 98 XJ that has a 6.5" lift that was hit while parked in the rear drivers side wheel. It broke the rear leaf and I am sure it damaged the axle and maybe the unibody a bit. The guy settled w/ the insurance company and now just wants rid of this. It has a SYE and decent wheels/tires etc. If I score it the next big "part out" thread will be posted up. I will know more in a few hours.........

let me know on the header panel!!!! lol (call first dib's!)

complete of course (turn signals, grill etc.....) and shipping to 60560...

Thanks!

Well, the Cabo Engineering XJ made it's way down to Texas.
Dr Evil just bought it.

So far it's lived in the far east, north, and south of the country.
He just needs to sell it to someone in Cali to complete the circuit.

Talk about being passed around like a two dollar whore.

Illinois to start using Photo Radar in July !

Illinois will begin using photo radar in freeway work zones in July. One mile
per hour over the speed limit and the machine will get you a nice $375.00 ticket
in the mail. Beginning July 1st, the State of Illinois will begin using the
speed cameras in areas designated as "Work Zones" on major freeways. Anyone
caught by these devices will be mailed a $375.00 ticket for the FIRST offense.
The SECOND offense will cost $1000.00 and comes with a 90-Day suspension.
Drivers will also receive demerit points against their license, which allow
insurance companies to raise Insurance rates.

This is the harshest penalty structure ever set for a governmental unit
involving PHOTO speed enforcement. The State already has two camera vans on
line issuing tickets 24/7 in work zones with speed limits lowered to 45 MPH.

What you do is, go to a shopping mall and find a vehicle like yours, even the same color and photograph the plate number.
If you find one with an Obama sticker, all the better.

Now, print and place behind plastic cover. There you have it, no more
tickets. You can drive as fast as you want.

Hey Bob....did you see the date on that link?

They have been out there for a while.

Nice thing is the radar is always on....plenty of warning if you run a bird dog.

Thing is....they need to do a better job enforcing the zones. I94 from the line to O'hare.....most of it is 45.....I do 55 and get passed like I am standing still....morning, night, middle of the night...it don't matter.

They have been hammering the construction zones all season. I have seen three and four troopers in quite a few work zones.

Do the math.... Takes 5 regular $75 tickets to create the same revenue as 1 work zone ticket.
And the blurb about 'demerit points' is moot. Any moving violation does regardless of whether you got it in a work zone or not.

couple coats of clear over your plate and it puts a nice glare on the pic :cool:

whowey congrats...........i think
i turned 24 today :eeks1:

So, what happens when you get a ticket in the mail and the pic isn't you driving? For instance, Wyfie drives the XJ on occasion. If a ticket was mailed the the registerd owner....me.....but, I wasn't driving.

I need to get out my Nixon mask.......
