Well.....ARI let me down, Ford never got the approval to finish my truck on Friday....so it was still on the rack today.

I needed to be in Marquette Tuesday morning, so a rental was called into action.

They tried to give me a Focus, with no cruise....it ain't gonna happen.

So this week I am driving a nice black HHR.....oh joy.

People actually BUY these things???

What happened to the danger ranger?

I hear yah about ARI. The would not approve 4 new tires for my van that had 49000 miles on it unless the dealer sent them photos of the tread depth. They were General tires that were rated at 30,000 miles. Needless to say my company credit card had a pretty large expense on it that Friday am. I was going to Houghton that morning and we were under Blizzard warnings till 10pm that day.

Have a safe ride. I hear those ride like a compact car.

They are kinda are a compact car. Just with a higher roof for a higher COG

The Ranger needed hubs and u-joints, not bad at 282K.

The HHR has no power....no comfort....and is ugly inside and out.

It does handle nice.....but not nice enough to overlook the typical GM quality.

Ahhh finals week. Went for a drive today and it seems as though the trail is open, but very wet, to my favorite camping spot on lake superior. So I'll be out there this weekend. That's a ray of sunshine at the end of the tunnel.

Getting tired of people coming in looking for obsolete chevy k1500 brake parts. So far today's list is: rotors/calipers for '98, brake lines for '00, and EVO unit for '97. Haven't verified it with the dealer yet, but I am told by the people coming in that GM no longer has them. Unfortunatly, they are only required to offer parts for 7 years after the vehicle is produced.

<snort> Guess I'd better hope that I never, ever, need anything for my 94 XJ, or even my 99 CTD, then.

My little sister's husband used to work for Mopar Parts Distribution. If he had his way (or the bean counters,) it wouldn't be 7 years, but probably more like 2 weeks. And it's the same reasoning behind only keeping parts at the dealership that will move in 30 days or less.

finally got a pic of the newest (and only) mods to the new tow rig...gotta represent yo!!

Weird. Just a NAPA thing? Advance lists all of those parts as in stock.

Really... thats interesting. Sounds like I need to have a little talk with my parts reps. As of today I am set up with another supplier to get the stuff I can't get from NAPA. I am now set up as a dealer for Innovative Balancing too!

Yep. I just went to Advance's website and pulled up part #s for all of those parts except the EVO unit b/c I wasn't sure what that was.
