Well it looks like my job is safe(for now). Cummins announced that it will be offering retirement packages to 350 local employees. It sucks because one of the old guys who works in the area next to me is retiring. He is a real good dude and a funny old bastard!

They cut our pay 12.5%.. but lost about 30% of the daily output....

I got laid off today. So I am back on the job hunt again and it is such a good time to look for a job.

Putting the finishing touches on a job app for Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission. I hate to leave the Midwest, but when I graduate in May I'm gonna have to go where the jobs are. I didn't make it through Indiana's hiring process, and I don't want to wait another 2 years if I don't have to. I'll probably apply for WI, OH and NC this spring once vacancies are announced.

It's too bad KY and TN require a bachelor's degree to get a CO job, otherwise I'd be all over that. If nothing pans out, I'll probably go back to VU for another 2 years to become eligible for other states.

my earlier years took me to New Jersey, Utah and Florida. Nothing is for sure, but right now I have been with this company since 1997. looks good so far. hope I don't jinx it.

If I get canned, I'd become a Wal-mart greeter in Cabo San Lucas. I'll live in a grocery cart.
