Important

what a way to start the morning. Wifey forgot to put anti gel in the chore truck when she filled it up yesterday...so, had to use the trail rig to pull the truck into the shop and cranked up the heat. Nothing like a late start and freezing cold weather to get the day started :D Is 5:30 AM to early to start drinking???

-22 here. Although that was at 4AM when I woke up to wolves howling outside. Guessing they killed a deer or they are on the trail of one. Dogs were going nuts when they heard them. Now it's -19.

yup mines 4x4...thought about lockouts but those kits run 1500 to 2000 bucks! 400 in hubs is cheap...plus by the time i'm done on the hub reinstall i'll be able to get them out next time...

picked up an air hammer tonight...we'll see what kind of a mess i can make friday afternoon...

mac 'can only get 4 vehicles in the heated garage when the megacab is in there' gyvr
An EMS Offroad kit for your '06 looks to be quite a bit more expensive than for my '99. I can pick it up for around $1,200.

Not sure what the temp got down to here last night. Some knucklehead forgot to plug the truck in, and I've found out just how far gone the batteries really are. Far enough that it won't start. I'll have 2 new batteries tonight. In the meantime, I'm driving a Civic, and remembering just how much I hate FWD and open diffs.

One other thing about the lockout hubs, Mac. 2wd low range....... it's nice for backing up trailers.

Looked at their site, the Jeep kit is less expensive than Warn's. I didn't know anybody else made a kit.

You are bored today too huh?
Although, unemployment is fine with me today!
Actually, I have three bumpers and a CJ5 cage to build.
Just seriously lacking motivation right now.

I picked up a remanned alternator, and found a shop a mile and a half away with an open bay this afternoon.

Forgot to mention this yesterday.

When I pulled my CTD into his shop, I parked next a late 60's Chevelle set up for the strip. 454 big block & drag slicks. It's not a resto, he's turning it into a full-on quarter-miler.

And what's really funny is that he was bemoaning selling his 2002 CTD all the while he was replacing my alternator.
