damn! she took a good roll alright. DON'T TURN THAT WAY!!!! :D
Yea, that was brilliant.
I'm thinking about getting back on my line when I should be thinking, "Get off this rock NOW" :gee:

Picked up another truck this weekend. Its a '90 F350, 2wd, Dually, 4.9L/5spd, flatbed. Its in great shape, but the PO took the rear axle apart and lost an axle shaft and the wheel hub. So I've been on a wild goose chase to find cheap parts for it. Its starting to look like I can buy a whole parts truck for what the junk yards are wanting for just a rear axle.

A dually with a 4.9? That's a weird combo!

I used to have a tow truck with a 4.9L. It was geared pretty low so it wouldn't go over 45-50 mph, but it would pull down barns. Actually pulled down a couple of barns with it, along with countless trees. I miss that truck. There is something about sitting in a tow truck cabled to a tree with the front wheels 6' off the ground bouncing the tree out of the ground that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

my stepdad had a '93 with a 4.9/5 speed combo in it. He pulled a feather lite camper with it for years. The tranny finally decided it didn't want to work anymore a few years ago!

55 mph on Chicago freeways is a speed bump.

Several years ago, I'd ridden my Honda (VF700 Sabre) around the north end of Lake MI down to Chicago for a party. The following morning, on the way out of Evanston on the Edens, I pulled up next to a gent on a Honda 'scooter. Granted, it was the biggest Honda made at the time, but damn......he's tucked in behind the windscreen, hunkered down to present the least profile he can, the throttle is whacked out against the stop and the engine is whining like a mosquito on speed. And he's barely doing 55 mph at 10:00 AM on a Wednesday morning. On the flippin' Edens! I just did a top gear roll-on and left, shaking my head.

55 mph on Chicago freeways is a speed bump...

Amen to that.

I got stranded at o'hare a few years back. (I've never flown out of that damn airport) Lake-effect blizzard. Had to rent a car to get back to indy.

Now I drive fast. Always have.

It was snowing like hell, visibility nil, and I was doin EIGHTY-FIVE on whatever that tollway is coming out of the airport.

And traffic was streaming by on both sides of me. I felt like the retard out-of-towner I guess I was, but I was honestly too scared to try to get over.

I've never seen that many completely insane drivers in one place in my life.

Before, or since.
