Important tip:

Make sure the curtains are closed on you hotel room, before you strip down for the night.

Especially when you are on the first floor and you window is less then 10' away from the dining room windows of a Lone Star Steakhouse.

Rev

You know you did it on purpose. :looser: :confused1 JIM.

Good gawd...... it's 0805 Central, and I've already been here for 3 hours, fighting with ancient server hardware.

The high side is that I may be able to finally kill an 11 year old server (manufactured September 1997.)

Well I blew my first cv shaft today. Been in my rig for a year.
The funny thing!! I was in my driveway testing my new steering system. Had it in 4lo to climb.
I guess it got in a bind and something had to give. Blew the pass. side. shaft.
More work before Redbird. Nick

Why?
Is there that much difference between where you are now and Attica?

Been using my lawn mower to skid logs around the yard. Got tired of having to get a running start and yank the chain because the tires wouldn't get any traction. Threw the drive belt off once, so I decided it was time for some new tires.

Are you staying at the sleep inn? That happened to me last time I was up there, 3 am and those things are loud....

They are still pretty jumpy up there bacause of the storms that came through a few weeks ago with 100mph straight line winds.

You can't read that and not make the noises out loud.

Yup.

Sleep Inn.

"right back there down by the Wal Mart."

Rev

Yup, we were on the top floor and I swear that thing was above our room. Scares the piss out of us called the front desk to ask where we should go "oh its just a thunderstorm"

None of the hotels I've stayed at lately have a plan for what to do in case of an emergency posted like they used to. A few months ago a tornado got pretty close to the hotel I was staying in, went downstairs to see where to go or if there was anything I could do to help, and the staff had no clue what to do or where to go.

Hey Rev,

If your still in Davenport, there is a cool little piano bar down by the river. I believe it has multiple bars attached to it. My wifes cousin works there and she is always good to my friends when they are in town.

we got the new project rig home from Arkansas Monday evening and it is actually far better then I expected. Just needs the head re worked and a front bumper and it will be ready to go. I have a motor from another 97 that will go in it and save the worries of anything else being the matter. The guy I bought it from left a bunch of stuff in it including a Clarion 6 disc changer, new receiver hitch and the tongue and ball, some CD's and even half a pack of Pall Mall's....oh snap! what a score for $520 pics up soon (I hope)
