I bet you are glad you have a 4x4 tow rig Randy :D Looks like everything went smoothly.

bmyohn - I like the OMEs I have on my XJ, but I'll probably upgrade to Bilsteins next year. They are great for a DD rig, even though they're kinda expensive.

Well, a new tow rig might be in line before WF. We were hauling cattle this morning and on the first load we were attempting to make a fairly steep snow covered hill and started to spin (ice under the snow, who knew?)and once the truck came to a hault about 15ft from the top of the hill, the rearward weight started to pull us back down the icey hill. After about 100ft of sliding (no steering on the ice) the trailer hit the ditch and then jackknifed the truck and swung it around into the opposite side of the roads ditch. It twisted the trailer to the point it broke the rear gate undone, rear axle spring perches off and crumpled the roof in the back. The truck is screwed as well, it shoved the rear bumper in to the bed, the passenger bedside is now tacoed, the gooseneck plate tweaked the rear frame rails and the bed is now kissing the cab...all of this and we were not going more then 10-15 mph!! The insurance adjuster is coming tomorrow morning. I bet his is gonna be pissed since we have claimed on this truck about 5 times so far in 3 years!!

And incase anyone is wondering...the cows survived without a scrape! (I knew some of your would be concerned about farm animals!! :D )

i think they are more concerned with sheep :dunce:

Cows can get the job done too, you just have to stand on a 5 gallon bucket.:farmer:

Stumps work better.

Insurance adjuster came and said that the truck is totalled due primarly to the frame damage. He also said that if it was even close to being totaled he would have it totaled out anyway b/c that truck is cursed! So, we have the option to buy it back from the insurance co. before it goes to the insurance pool. They are getting a price for that to us, but I think we are going to just see that rig off to the pool. Maybe a new Dodge or Chevy in our future....I think Ford has been selling their rejects to me for a few years now! :laugh3:

Randy, pack your fawking bags, I wish I would have at your age.

Did I say I hate my job, I have been dragging wire the size of my arm through a snow, ice, dust mixture in a huge stone quarry this week.
If everything goes right, I will have some BIG news this weekend!

Set a budget and stick to it. Sticking to it is the hard part, we've not been doing very good with Xmas and all. Cut up all your plastic too.:)

I am not selling my soul to any one.
My construction days are over.
I am going in a completely different direction.
If Blago cuts 100% of the road budget so he can give pills to poor people, I wont give a shit less.
