We saw deer, but my wife was in the stand with me. She took the 150 yard shot with the AR and missed. She was shaking pretty bad. She was excited as hell. This was a good end to a morning of her cursing me out for dragging her out of bed so early to freeze her ass off for this boring ass crap.

I read A Clockwork Orange with the book in one hand and the translator in the other.

After a few chapters you actually pick up on most of it and lose the translator.

I went out to the lake last night to winterize the boat and camper and sure as hell when I pulled into the lot there was a nice 10 pt buck in the 160 class range just standing on the back side of the lot. I find the irony in this b/c I have had about a dozen bow hunters on our farm so far this year and they all kept telling me they are not seeing any big bucks...well, maybe they need to hunt from the front seat of the Jeep or out of my camper window!! Our gun season opens this weekend...it is time to fill the 16 ft trailer with a load of brown furry crop killers!!! If it's brown it's down!!!
