I'm bored with my XJ.

If someone offered me a reasonable amount for it, I'd sell it without too much thought.

I don't think I'm too far from that myself.

Been thinking that for years, but when I trying to figure out what to replace it with I always keep coming up with an XJ built like mine.

I did finally sell my old mustang though. Some guy came up from St. Louis, then drove it home. I tried explaining to him that it was a 44 year old car that had been sitting in storage for the past 12 years, but that didn't seem to bother him. Haven't heard from him, so it must have made it alright.

On another note: just had a squirrel charge me. Nutty little bastard. He didn't survive.

I go through spells where I am bored with it, especially when I have not wheeled in a while. But like Travis said, I keep coming back to it. I am pleased w/ how my rig performs and the nice thing is that it is paid for time and time again. So if/when I get bored it is no big deal, I just scoot it aside and play with something else for a while :D

My brother in law had a 65 stored in my garage for a couple years, he had towed it home on a trailer, it had been stored for years and years before that.

Woman came to buy it, and called AAA to tow it home. We told her to be sure they sent a flatbed.

Two hours later, they sent a slingback. She was tired of waiting, and told him to take it. We did tell her not to.

They made it ten miles before the front right wheel came off, crossed the median, and hit an oncoming car at 75.

Her insurance wouldn't pay cause the 'stang wasn't on the policy, the tow company wouldn't pay cause it was a AAA call, and AAA wouldn't pay cause it wasn't registered and licensed.

Far as I know, she had to pay it out of pocket.

We felt bad, but we did try to tell her...

I bought my Jeep to haul, carry, act as a tent, get me to work and the fishing hole. Of course I wanted to wheel it but its so versatile and they are known to last a while so I finally bought one. Even If i stop wheeling it I am pretty sure I will have an XJ as long as they are available.

On a semi related note: I HAVE REVERSE LIGHTS AGAIN! Cleaned my NSS today, what fun that was! :D

Been sick all week, got out yesterday and replaced the distributor with a reman. from champion... The old one was original to the vehicle and when I tried to turn it by hand... Let's just say I'll prob improve gas mileage... :)

I'm thinking about finding a 93-94 ZJ 5 speed or converting an auto ZJ over.

You change vehicles more than I change my underware.

Da Bears .. They don't do so good in the jungle...

Ced 189 for the day. Who dey!!

Yep.

I am at a plateau with the XJ though. I built it as I wanted it, wheeled it, and now I'm bored. My wheeling interest has shifted to easier, scenic trails with the family (Rev style) and my XJ is overbuilt for that.

So. :dunno:
It's still DDable and will go the same places (and more) a less built rig would go.

X2

My heep is awesome on the bunny slopes!

Put together a list of everything you would do to the new rig, then figure out how much you could get for the XJ. Everytime I do that, I figure out that I would have to spend more and still end up with a less capable jeep.

Yup they have a bash. Though it is correct that it is smaller, police action has been stepped up, about 5 years ago now, due to rioting [incl. flipped vehicles] and the occasional death. Still a good time though. My plans may have changed to go home and do some work and finally get some Cutlass parts shipped out. I'll make sure to grab pics if I make it.

At this point, the Bears will be lucky to score 3 points.
5 possessions, and five scores....WTF!!??

I was really dissappointed with the Atlanta game. Two weeks to prepare for one team...and you come out and just suck.
Now, this game with Cincy??? wtf!!!
Hats off to Cincy...good job!
