10 years in the making...waited for some guy in kokomo to finally give it up so i could have it...

mac 'already working on secured mounting' gyvr

I sat at work today and waded through the past 5 pages trying to figure out what the hell you were talking about.

Came home and saw the picture

yup, you guessed it right! The Tahoe is nice but this ought to do the trick as well. It has the same interior as the Hoe, so it is a little more "spiffy" then the average farm truck. Just wish it was a diesel.

My Dad has towed my XJ a couple of times for me. His is a 08, 2500HD x-cab with the 6.0. Towed it like a dream. He's not had any trouble out the truck at all........other than the occasional deer encouter.:gee:

That's good to hear Mike, is that the truck you were telling me about at WF? I am pretty stoked about getting this truck, it will actually be mine and not the "farms", so hopefully it will stay in good shape for a while.

Probably.
Dad's is a 2wd. His employer won't go for the 4x4. There's usually a backhoe within radio/phone range so they can't see spending the extra cash. This was the first time they did go with the 3/4 tons though.

Man teleconferences suck....at least I can still hang out on here while they are gabbing...blah blah blah....

The painting is finished in the house (one small touch-up to finish tonight,) all of the trim plates and registers are back on, and one final run with a steam cleaner over the carpets tonight. The movers are working next Monday & Tuesday, cable is scheduled for installation Tuesday morning (TV & Internet, 10mbps down.)

Time to start sorting through crap. If I haven't opened the box in the last 3 years, there's a good chance it's going straight to the dumpster.

On a side note, I scored a 20# CO2 cylinder and 3 draft faucets with 8" shanks last weekend for a C-note. The cylinder alone runs $120 new. I've got a new chest freezer that I need to build a collar for, and I'm 90% of the way to kegging.

but hey, it's still pretty cool.

I did not make it there this year, the end of ski season snuck up on me. My housemate did go and had a blast. The Lac la Belle Lodge has the "Keweenaw Melt" that is a killer sandwich.
I didn't get out once this year.
Started the season tearing my plantar fascia, then things got tight, money wise.
I even bought new boots before the season that I never got to use.
Best midwest snow season in memory and I got nada.

My 10# cylinder cost me more than that. Just remember though, once you go keg, you never wanna bottle again!

Almost done tearing down the Chicago site....all equipment out of racks and in crates. A pallet full of usable cables, another pallet of trash cables.

After 8 years of that stuff running in a Sprint switch it was filthy.....I need a bath.

Wednesday will see me removing 7 racks.....and trying to figure out Sprints "earthquake proof" mounting.

Most of the guys working there don't remember our stuff not there, gonna be a shock when we pull the racks out.

In order to have 4 new tires on the jeep, I only need to buy one new tire. I can use the new tires on the trailer, and the new spare on the jeep with one new tire to have a full set. Then I could use the old tires on the trailer and as a spare, and have an extra spare.

Only problem is I can't find a 35x12.50R15 BFG MT KM anywhere, and apparently they aren't making them anymore.

I am about tempted just to get rid of the whole thing, but can't think of anything better to replace it with.

Hey Travis, let me make a few calls and I might be able to find ya one. Hows the new shop comming along?

Travis - may have one for you. I called Discount Tire in Indianapolis and they show one left in a warehouse. They are going to double check for me and let me know. If they have it, I can pick it up this weekend for you and we'll figure out how to get it to you.

Edit: Their computer was wrong (imagine that). They don't have any more.

I did check www.tyres1.com, and they show a 35" KM, but doesn't say how many they have. Might be worth checking out.
