Had a blast on my Wisconsin/Minnesota adventure. In total we did just over 1700 miles in the JK. Not without worry or problems, the trip was littered with little quirks that kept bring me to the side of the road. A final “quirk” is an engine misfire in the last 500miles home
Other than miles, our trip included explore some state parks in the North, found some waterfalls to play in, live beach front music, and a day at the mall of America where I got to put my big kid on a real rollercoaster for the 1st time.
Wheeling was great! Got into Gilbert Friday and found an OHV trail to run before sundown. Felt like wheeling in a rainforest.
Saturday was the IRO event and that was a blast. The guys were very organized and ran some great routes. There was a recovery truck and all. The park itself is rad. Cool enough to run with a group but also marked wheel enough to venture on your own. The only suck is that red dirt, doesn’t wash off as easy as Moab dirt
The auction was huge! Tons of stuff and tons of people.
Great time! I have it penciled for next year.
Im at the Space Age Lodge in Gila Bend. Definitely worth taking a picture and driving on by. Headed home from San Diego, then down to Tucson on next week and Fabtech in Orlando the week after.
At least I got an excuse why jeep wont get put together again.
Had to do a radiator on my son's infiniti G35. Those things suck to work on, my lower back is dead from being hunched over because it's so low. An burping the air is way to much a PITA.
