La Casa de los Monos.

Punta de Mita should not be missed if you surf. Ditto Islas Marietas if you snorkel.

We like La Cruz for hanging out anchorage wise. We were only going to stay overnite before heading to Z-town the first time we were there, ended up staying for six months...

Wana try something different? Look for the indent in the jungle between La Cruz and Punta Mita on the ocean side of the Tepic Hwy. Make sure you have a rental Jeep for this one... 5 miles thru the jungle, keep your eye on the tracks, it dissappears in the most dense growth I've ever seen. It's a good idea to keep the top on too, the biggest freaking spiders you will ever see and the gekos will be at war in your lap otherwise.

The beach at the end is picture perfect, right hand point break, no one for miles. There's a small palapa there, Carlita runs it. Ask her for Ricia. Locally distilled Mescal Tequila... After you've had a few, pet the cotamundi.

Order a bug (lobster, lungusta). Be patient, it takes her kids a few minutes to go get them.

Of course, it's not recommended to stay too late into the night. Hitting a Jaguar in the jungle is not like hitting a deer on the Hwy.

Getting Married?

Among other things, but that is just one of them.

Taking a class at UIC, working full time. Still. Not that I'm complaining, just dislike my job. Mostly, just cutting down on my internet usage at work and, well I did spend a lot of time here when in reality I should have been focus on my work. Weekends are full as I have a nice cave survey project in Southern Indiana, then there is the volunteer work (non-court mandated, FYI). There was the sailing too, but that's a story for a different time... This weekend is the first weekend with out plans up the wazoo since... I think, July.

Just checking in really to see what is going on since I missed Carnage Fest.
