231 was never offered behind the v8 but standard behind the 4.0 ZJs. 242 was a upgrade option and only the 249 offered behind tbe V8. Unsure on the options of the WJs besides the addition of tbe 272 or was it the 247?

Cheese, should have deleted that DOD while you were in there.

I looked into it, but after all the research it showed that the right way to do it was new lifters push rods and cam etc. They said if I would have just disabled the dod that the lifters were still the weak point and would still fail eventually. If a lifter on the Left bank goes out anytime soon, it will be getting the true rebuild with all new interals.

I put 4 dod lifters in a truck a while back and had it come back 3 months later. One of the new ones had failed. That sucked.

I've been thinking about trading it off for a 4runner, but I just don't want to get back into car payments. Also looking at trading down to a newer f150 from the duramax. I can get into a newer1/2 ton truck for about same money as the duramax is worth.
