I see Jeeps flat towed all the time, trailer was 180 tow bar was 130 and I would have it to use down the road......it was a smitybilt product so of course it ended up being a pos. All bolted together (I even used a torque wrench because I thought it was important to make sure it was all correct) the tongue ended up shifting in the slotted holes on the bars, so essentially it was towing the jeep at an angle......completely dicking that one tire.
Should have welded it and still may do so.
The uhaul hauls ass on flat ground, 7-8mpg at 75......the 55mph sticker on the uhaul trailer is so gay.
But yes, in the end I was being cheep, so instead of 180 for the trailer I spent 130 on tow bar (will be going back to amazon if I don't weld it) 350 on trailer and eventually another 300 on a new tire......
