Important

Just watched (then helped) a lady on her new moped, whiskey throttle making a right hand turn, cross 3 lanes of traffic into a curb. The road rash should serve as a good reminder.

No helmet either...

Why do people think they can just hop onto two wheel vehicles and compete with traffic...

I have not cused like I have cused today in a long damn time, axle side uca bushing suck balls

I feel your pain, did the ones on the wife's jeep the other day. And despite pressure washing the crap out of it, there was still enough sludge here and there to make it a really messy job.

Next project on that jeep, find and fix oil leaks...

Last one I had to do got punched out with an air chisel.

Waiting in DFW for flight to DSM. Right befor landing we hit some turbulence that we free fell gor a bit that ended with one of the attendants getting tossed around and cutting her back up real bad.

I use a ball joint press.

Yea it pushed the middle out on the first one so I had to cut out w a sawzall.....just plain sucked. Then, when it was putting new one in w bj tool it got cocked and deformed so I put the second bushing in. Figured I would wait to do start on second one since I would have to go to parts store, just went ahead and put new arms in and left one old bushing.

After I got done for the day I noticed I actually had another brand new bushing on the shelf, so I'm guessing over the years I got pissed off before and only did one side then too.

I worked 24 hrs in a 30 hour period and misread that.

I usually end up using a sawzall carefully to get the pressed in part out...

mac 'that and the axle is out of the jeep too' gyvr

Watched a formation of five planes leaving a smoke trail fly over Terre Haute earlier this evening, turns out it was the Blue Angels on the way from Gary back to Pensacola.

I saw the blue angels take off from the South Bend airport in 2013...from our plane on the tarmac. Was loud and pretty cool.

Today after 4 trips to the auto parts store and three power steering pump pullies I got the power steering pump changed on Dad's WJ. The stock one broke coming off, the second one I put on back wards and destroyed getting it off, and finally got the third one on correctly. In the process I broke the nipple off the new reservoir and had to swap the old reservoir on the new pump.

mac 'and that's why I couldn't be a flat rate mechanic' gyvr

Well it wasn't a Jeep but the EX got some work done to it yesterday. Replacing seals in front end and maybe u joint

I worked on rifles.
and I found my missing AK mag.
bonus that it still had 30 rounds in it when I found it.
I also found some SKS stripper clips.

I tried to remove my f150 bed to do my fuel pump and broke my t50. I usually have extra torx bits but they were at work. Back at it again after work today.

Next year we plan on going back to Pensacola for vacation and a trip to Naval Air station and Museum will be in order to see the Museum and Angels practice.

This is one of my favorite photos I took back last year down there.

In other news, Elizabeth has a tooth coming in. I can actually feel the tooth, it is barely through the gums now.
