They're too short. All of them. I bet they're 1/2" of slip in that shaft
There is waaaay more slip in it than that.
There are different length shafts...just like real life.

It doesn't appear to show a distinction between a 231/242 in an XJ tho.
The baby Jeep had a swapped in 231 for a 242, and a swapped in D44 for the D35. It had about 4 inches of lift. The front driveshaft that I had would not extent far enough to work, it was into the splines. I had it lengthened an inch to make it work correctly.
