Important

I was around 7" with the XJ....maybe a little less now with "settling" in my old age...I can text a pic or two :D

I have been running it on my 6in lift for a couple years. Daily driven(well when i worked) That said I have a lot of vibes at high speeds that are just not there when I take out the front shaft.

I had a front shaft in the rear of my XJ with 5.5", 231 SYE, 9".
the ZJ on the other hand needed a shorter shaft up front and a much longer shaft in the rear.

There is waaaay more slip in it than that.

This is lengthened two inches and is still too short

There are different length shafts...just like real life.

It doesn't appear to show a distinction between a 231/242 in an XJ tho.

The baby Jeep had a swapped in 231 for a 242, and a swapped in D44 for the D35. It had about 4 inches of lift. The front driveshaft that I had would not extent far enough to work, it was into the splines. I had it lengthened an inch to make it work correctly.

mac 'an expensive inch' gyvr

I pay $90 for full retube in DOM and balance. And super sweet paint

I'm just going to start buying TJ shafts and sleeving them for the trail rigs

my front shaft for the rear is too long. its only got about an inch before it will bottom out. but i never took out the Tcase spacer and its sitting on a saggy 3 inch lift

I thought BBC = big block chevy...

Here's my current situation. AA SYE, driveshaft is from the 96 I parted out many moons ago.

The gap is about 2". Dana 44 and rubicon express 3.5" leaf springs.

Held up well so far...
