Important

The brother in law came over last night while traveling through and said he was having problems with his WJ (I gave him Altrockers phone number :D). Ended up being no power options in the doors or remote functions worked. He had just had it in a shop in Lubbock, TX and they charged him $250 per door for new harnesses....those rat bastards only butt connected and heat shrank the broken wires in his doors and covered it up with the accordion boot in the door jamb, there was no new harness! I got him fixed up in about 20 minutes for both doors an he was good to go...this stuff pisses me off when a shop would steal from a client like that and charged over $500 for 4 butt connectors and 4" of heat shrink. I told him to go back and call them out and turn them into the BBB...its not worth sueing them over but it may be worthy of a trip by with a bb gun to some plate glass windows :D

Revenge is always the answer....what was the question?

That seems to be a huge issue with them. Mine is the same way. There are too many wires running through the door and they eventually start to get worn down and short out...I already fixed mine once but now the dome light is staying on and the doors aren't locking because they think the front door is open. I'm thinking I'm going to fix all the little things on Melissa's and try to sell it. I got my $650 out of it a long time ago. If it's all working and running correctly it could fetch $1500 pretty easily out here since the tranny is good and there is very little rust

Also went to look at that silver limited. It had a lot more rust than I thought...had holes in both floors, all the doors had rust , rear quarters were rusty and so were the front fenders. The engine was stripped down to the long block too....the heated leather was the only decent thing left, but not worth $1000 to me or a trade on our wj. If I had the room is offer the guy $500 and part it out but until the wife has a garage slot, its a no go

Speaking of wj's

Aside from needing break lines and the automatic engine?

Nephew is driving now, 20yrs old, only took 4 years to talk him into getting his DL. Got him a 97 4dr XJ with a 3" RC lift and 235s for now. Oh an a nasty case of piston slap, but have a spare 4.o that im going to twach him how to reseal a motor.

On a nother note, looks like I'll be camping this weekend, first time camping and Not wheeling in nearly 10 years.
