I got a sizeable chunk. One plus on having two kids. I also claim single and 0 all year. Next year I will have 3 kids. So I switched to married and 1 made a 70 dollar difference on my check every week.

i screwed up big time my first year living as an independent contractor in nyc and was bad about expenses and paying in quarterly. wound up owing a huge chunk at the end of the year...ever since then, things have gone much better

its going to be weird next year getting a w2 instead of a bunch of 10-99's. i will be doing some contractor work, but it will be few and far between. i'm kind of okay with that for a change.
