I hardly ever see that stuff where I work now but the old shop I was at you always get the "I spent a grand on a car what do you mean it's not perfect" crowd. Never would think of financing though. How do you get paid if the don't come through?
My Mom called me tonight to see if I had a second to talk to her... Then she tells me she dislocated her hip on Friday!?!?! I love her, but for ****s sake, let me know when something like this happens ASAP.

You finance repairs????? Wow!! I couldn't imagine the hassle of doing the guranteed credit crap on cars and repoing them let alone repairs.
I feel ya. my 82yr old grandma causally let my mom know the other day that she was hit by a car.
has a large gash on her leg and now infected. did she go to the hospital after being run over....nope.:dunno:
We do this at our work as well. I have a stack full of titles chilling in the safe.
SO is the title in their name still you just hold on to it?
I never knew there was such a thing. But I was taught how to fix my own shat so I didn't have to spend all my money paying someone else to do it.
Huh. You work at a dealer or just a repair shop?
Independent repair shop and we also have a small car lot.
And worse comes to worse you can file for a lien on the title until payment is made.Still in their names and we just hold them as collateral on their debt.
Which one?Independent repair shop and we also have a small car lot.
Which one?
Buwhahahaha....yeah you can..but why add more fees to ones you aren't going to see in the first place. And worse comes to worse you can file for a lien on the title until payment is made.

Sure they are.... How many of the people here have jumped a title or disposed of a vehicle without one? Just because something is legal or the right way to do things doesn't really mean much.because when they sell it and the title gets transferred the new owner can't rgister it until the lien is satisfied. So eventually you'll get money.
