I bring my phone in the shower all the time. How else will I get photos of me scrubbing my beard with beer to all my snapchat fans.

You've made it past denial. Work on acceptance that you shouldn't type everything that pops in your head.

If I posted everything that pops in my head after I read some posts on here and other sites, I would be banned from them all. Luckily, I can laugh at people now (mostly the idiots on facebook).

You get banned from here? Yeah right, your thoughts are Mickey mouse shit compared to what cheeseman posts regularly!

I had to pull my phone out of the toilet full of turds the other morning...

Wasn't the best start to the day...

Trailer brakes are fixed...

It was joke about brakes in Iowa. Last year my old trailer, the one that got stolen, had messed up brakes, never knew what way it would pull as it when applied.

Glad you are getting that jeep as the last thing I need right now is another one to sit around and not sell. And my shop is just down the street from his house.

I propped my iPhone up next to the sink a couple weeks ago listening to music and it fell into the sink. It survived ish. It now has 5 black lines in the screen that won't go away

I know a simple search pf teh interwebs would probably answer this, but what is the draw back on the 6.4 Ford diesels vs. the 6.7? I know the 7.3's quite well now, have not heard of many fans of the 6.0 but the 6.4 seems to be unpopular amongst the mass as well.....

You'll get all kinds of opinions.

I owned two 6.4s. They are not the gas sippers that the 7.3 and 6.0 were better at. The emission garbage is the biggest draw back of that motor. Get rid of that crap and they are pretty reliable motors and get decent mileage, as long as regular oil changes were done when it had the emissions crap on it. I put almost 30k (113k to 140k) on my second one, DPF, egr deleted, all trouble free. Averaged the same 8 mpg grossing 27k as the winnie with a 5.9 grossing the same. Like any motor, they have spit motors out, but most of what I have read is related to the emissions crap. A buddy with an 09 Duramax spit a motor at 130k...so it happens to all of them.

I have not owned a 6.7. I have rode in SeanRs. The fuel mileage is back up there. It seems that they have figured out how to make a truck work and leave the emissions crap on it. Make fun of exhaust fluid all you want, but it seems to be working out pretty well in making better mpgs. The 6.7 is a beast of a motor, and a powerhouse. The whole setup of the induction of the motor is different from anything done before by Ford, and maybe any manufacturer. From what I have read, the reliability seems to be good, its been out since late 2010, so there are motors out there now with some miles on them.

The later the 6.0 the better it is. Most of the hate comes from guys that want big power but don't want to spend the money on big power parts. You can't run a tune on a 6.0 for 500 hp and expect it to live.
Maintenance on any of the internationals is crucial. They like fresh oil and when you neglect them you change parts.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy an '07 ford. Upgraded standpipes, hpop, etc. and it keeps you out of the emissions crap of a 6.4.

Agreed. I think 6.4's will end up like the 6.0's. People hated on 6.0's until everyone figured out they just need a few items and are a good motor.

I haven't of any diesel that is a 03ish plus that doesn't have nightmare case's out there.

Pretty much what everyone else said, figure out the quirks and fix em. I was a tech when the 6.0 first came out and had all the issues, especially with the turbos/pedestals leaking. I did a couple of turbo replacements a day and will never forget it.

That being said, whenever the 7.3 dies (if it does) I will most likely go straight to the 6.7, I've seen a few 6.4s now and didn't much care for them.

don't know much about the specifics of Ferds (years vs emissions). I got a 08 duramax LMM, the DPF sucks, if I could afford a newer duramax with the SCR I would have gone that root. I have not deleted yet, it may be coming shortly.

SCR (uses DEF/Urea) is the way to go because it is a seperate system from the engine itself. When a truck has DPF system the engine has to make extra heat when in regeneration and that extra heat creation causes extra wear and tear.

SCR is the way to go, in my opinoin just a fluid and there is really no extra down fall from the system. Just have to keep it full and keep the fluid warm.

if you plan on deleting then it really doesn't matter what you go with.

DPF is 2007.5 and newer
Ford went to UREA in 2011.
Chevy went to UREA in 2010 or 2011.
Dodge is just now going to UREA or the 2014 models were, I believe.

we are on the way to look at a 2013 GMC crew 2500 and a 2009 Ford F350 crew. Dont really need another one ton around, but it is one owner w/ 85K on it and is a "King Ranch" which wifey loves...I could personally give a shit less and dont want 2 extra ties on the ground and 2 more fenders to tear off. Will likely come home empty handed in the Dodge, but thats ok, it makes its own fuel :D

You might buy the Ford just cause of the seats...

King Ranch trucks are...awesome!
