Important

Yeah. Seems like every bridge that is hit here in Iowa is by a dump truck or excavator haulers. .. Not saying they are the brights bulb on the tree

anyone want or need a good set of jk wheels? I see about nine million sets for sale with tires between $200-300 all the time...moabs included. they are bolt on for a wj, so i am probalby going to pick up a set for after winter. if anyone is looking for a set, let me know. could possibly deliver to wf

I can finally park in my garage again, new alternator and belt on. Next time I will just take the whole alternator bracket off, might make it easier.

I'd stay as far away from the Compass/Patriot Jeeps as I can. They are DANGEROUS JUNK! I don't own one, but we have two (A 2009, & 2010) at work. They both have had major suspension failures that fortunately happened at a low enough speed to not loose control. I witnessed one, and was driving on the other. The lower control arm seperated allowing the right front wheel to remove itself from the vehicle, and the other about put me in the ditch when something in the rear let loose. We couldn't figure out what happened with a quick glance in the rain so we limped it back, and parked it. The things eat sway bar bushings to the tune of 6 month replacement interleaves. Have the worst HVAC systems I've ever seen in a vehicle, and jump, and hop all over the road on the slightest bumps. The head lamps suck balls, and the CVT trans makes you have to floor it for any kind of modest acceleration. I'll say it again. Stay as far away from those pieces of shit as you can!

have fun breaking bolts

and getting the belt tensioned right without making the tensioner work anyway.

taking the bracket off to do an alternator is dumb.

A guy wants to trade both of these for my grand am.

Jeep doesn't look bad even with the old man running boards on it. May have to hold onto bike till spring to sell it for a decent price

What Jeepguy91 said about the motorcycle. Many riders buy now and low ball because people don't ride this time of year and think they can get them cheaper. When I buy one (since I already have the license, know how to ride and have some gear), I will buy around this time of year. I don't like that style of bikes for me though, I much prefer the cruisers.

Took a radiator out took it on a 20 mile round trip to get a new one and then put it back in and change the oil and drank 4.5 beers in just over 2 hours.

Yeah, you probably done it before. Now, I can do something faster the second time around. I haven't done a lot mechanically other then oil and brake pad changes and a few other small things. First time I did brake pads, it took me about three times it takes me now.

I've got a radiator down to less than an hour.
