Important

Durbin, the niner has a 231 in it, right? The viscous is bad in my buddy's case and I found a cheap 23 spline 231. What year ZJ Can I find 231 stuff in?

Pretty sure that is the exhaust out the side and servo was opening fuel? I have never had a gas powered RC car, but did have an electric one. I want one again (like an Emaxx).

ZJ stuff is a huge cluster. There are short, medium and long input shafts. Basic rule of thumb is to find a 231 the same year as the Jeep. Somewhere there is a 231 swap thread, IIRC it is on JeepForum. I used that when I put the 242 in my ZJ.

Re: Re: Important

No, I think it's got a 249 from the factory.
Yes, that's what we're replacing. I meant Jason's particular niner. Turns out that case is bad though.

I think it's 96+ 242 or 231 that have the correct coast sun gear if I remember right. Mine is a 231 from a 98 and I had a 242 from a 98ish before that.

What year zj flex? Look at the 242 or 231 from a 98+ jeep. We have swapped t-cases in both of our keeps and are currently running Jason's old 242 in our xj with no problems. Really easy swap.

Graces 5.9 has a 98 XJ 242 in it. Direct swap.

mac 'should've been a factory option' gyvr

bunches of fun.

Wow that's a good price for a brand new buggy. May look into that for my son instead of buying a new motor for his truck.

Nate made my head explode. Rc has gotten way easier and way cheaper

just make sure you're looking at a USA warehouse.

the site sucks. the shipping times suck (it will be three days before it ships) and the customer service is non existent.

All of that is fine if you're
not a n00b
not an idiot
and know ahead of time.

Im not an idiot so that pretty much means the world is my oyster....

Im going computer radio before i buy anything else. Just seems like its too cheap not to
