I love that we get all manner of discrimination and disenfranchisement arguments for voter ID, but require a $150 passport to to visit a damned island in lake erie.

as far as I'm concerned all of the islands in lake erie should be long to us, we kicked them off the lake and we shouldn't have let the canucks have any of it.

My Ftreefiddy 6.7 gets 21-22, (not kidding) unloaded on the highway, 17-18 around town, and 14-15 pulling an 11,000 # trailer at highway speed.

My 7.3 unloaded is getting 21 at highway speeds, 18-19 in town. Last time I towed was hauling the Pacifica and it got ~15.

My 8.1 gets about 8-9 doing 75, gets about 13 unloaded on the highway. the 26 gallon tank is the best part.....

My 7.3 doesn't get driven enough unloaded to track mileage, and I don't really care. Towing to FL with the camper running 70 I got 13 MPG. I think it was similar towing the XJ to Harlan with a deckover flatbed. Should be better if I ever get a regular carhauler, the XJ was way up in the wind on the deckover.

Come to think of it, I still have Harlan fuel in the treefiddy.

My 454 suburban had a 42 gallon tank. Was much much nicer than the 26 in the 2500

That's very similar to what my 5.4 gets. I need to do the "brown wire" mod to mine and see how much it changes.

The 42 gallon tank in the 90s burbs was awesome. Nothing like getting 550 miles to a tank. And to think when i had mine i bitched about spending 75$ to fill it up

After I lifted my heep it developed a knocking it the rear under low speed acceleration. I figured no big deal it was the drive shaft and plans are already in the works for a sye and cv drive shaft. Today I was doing a nut and bolt on all the suspension parts I touched while doin the lift and all my axle u bolt nuts were loose. For the last month I've been hunting for a good deer spot for bow season. 80mph highway trips and pretty quick dirt road romps. I shutter to think what would have happened if my rear axle tried to pass me at speed.

Anywhoo I guess my point is check yo stuff once in awhile.
