Overall that thing is a way better design (at least on the front end) than the xj. Dual piston calipers, Boxed control arms, crossover steering, large diameter tie rod, anti sway bar is further away from the spring as is the shock mount. Only downside is that front Low pinion axle and WTF is that front driveshaft? CV joints full of fluid at both ends flanged to the T-case and Pinoin?

Take a look at how the front lower control arms mount to the front axle, then go look at an XJ.

The WJ's lower control arms mount farther inboard than an XJ's, it causes some serious death-wobble when you lift them. Teraflex won't even sell stock replacement lower control arms anymore, you have to get the wider ones with new axle brackets.

Was it the mount or the bolt?

Note to self and everybody: HVLP > spray bomb. The difference in spray pattern and finger fatigue is amazing!!

Travis-

Where are you?

Sorry, forgot to mention that. I'm at Glacier National Park. There is a forrest fire nearby, so that is why you see all the smoke in the pictures, and the sun looks red. I've been doing a ton of hiking.

Went hiking to Trout Lake today. That is where a group of campers was killed and eaten by a grizzly in the late 60s. Saw a black bear, and a grizzly with two cubs.

About fifty yards into the trail we met up with a couple who hiked the rest of the trail with us. They encountered a grizzly and were too scared to continue on alone. We didn't get to see that one, but heard him breaking some large branches not too far from the trail.

Heard the same joke three times today:
How do you tell black bear crap from grizzly crap?
Grizzly crap has bells in it.

"I don't have to faster than the bear, I just have to be faster than YOU."

Nice pics.

At work.
Waiting on the clock.
It's seems to be awfully slow this evening.

Just got done changing the front d/s ujoint for Redbird tomorrow. Sucked to do at night with a drop light, but beats the hell out of changing it on the trail.
