Important

Sam, that long breaker bar is worth every penny. Great for upper shackle bolts and any other leaf spring bolt breaking. I use those socket rails too. They fit great if you're going to keep them in a mobile tool box. If you got a 1/4" rail, it's a bit of a piece of crap. But the 3/8s and 1/2" work well.

yea i had few of the items already, im just getting a some duplicates to keep in a mobile tool box for trails and junkyards runs and whatnot.
this was all just a bunch of cheap simple stuff because i have never had air tools at home. i mostly went there for the air compressor and maybe a impact and air ratchet but when cut off's are 8 bucks and air hammers are 9, before you know it, you bought a bunch of stuff for 400, including the compressor.

now i can start pushing the tool box to the wife, since she can see the amount of space i need.

Harbor freight had a few nice ones, but i think i like Menards options better.

She is a stuffed animal doctor yo. She will heal the stuffed animals.

side note, she is black but has a "Mc" last name

one of my best friends is black. His last name is McWilliams.

somehow some irish got in there.

I have broken a long harbor freight breaker bar. If I can do it....

wear eye protection. I love my old craftsman breaker bars, but I thikn that the "new" craftsman is junk. I bought some Husky stuff to take wiht me to Knoxville and was impressed. I think Crescent is making it. Looks like Home Depot is getting my tool business. At least they're only 5 minutes away and not 30 for the inevitable broken 13mm socket.
Not sure if that impact will suck or not, if it does, the "earthquake" one is actually decent. It breaks bolts.

I used to swear by husky 1/2 breaker bars, now I can break them with one hand. They aren't what they used to be.

However, I recently started upgrading to 3/4 drive. My harbor freight 3/4 drive breaker bar is bulletproof, I've had 4 feet of pipe on it and around 1000 ftlbs of torque. Didn't even flex. The rule now is that if I break off a 1/2 drive on a fastener, I go buy a 3/4 drive socket in that size. Decided to save money and got the full HF 3/4 drive SAE set, plus random other sizes like 1 5/16 thinwall (d60 pinion nuts, pitman arm nuts) and 36mm (d30 axle nuts.)

For the money I have into it, it is worth it to not break 1/2 drive and have to go get a new one.

Maybe I should get a 3/4 drive and just use an adapter to all of my existing 1/2 sockets.

I'd rather twist an adapter off than break the breaker bar. It's sketchy when you're jumping up and down on it and it snaps.

What? You thought there was some other way I could break a 1/2" bar?

Anybody know if a set of headers off a 99 ram 1500 will work on a zj with the 5.2?

If I remember correctly they will not work. The starter is on the passenger side for the ZJ and the driver's side on the Rams, and the factory manifolds on the ZJ take this into account. Also since the engine bay is pretty tight as it is, you'll need ZJ specific headers for it. Jason would be the guy to ask, I don't know if he used ZJ-specific long tube headers or just block hugger headers though.

I have a couple of those adapters too... the hf one and the one I found in the junkyard. They do the job, if I twist one off, it means time for a 3/4 drive socket in that size.

The HF SAE and metric 3/4 drive sets are usually on sale for 60 bucks every few months though. And they each come with a few extension bars, a ratchet, and a breaker bar.

This. I used Mopar performance headers. Good luck finding v8 zj headers for less than $1000. Some guys have tried block huggers but they aren't easy.

Yo Sam, I am tool box rich in the shop. I just bought my second 41" double stack and moved out of my Craftsman triple stack. If you are interested in it, I could shoot you a price and we could figure out transport sometime this summer. I think it is 28-32" wide if I recall. I have all the keys etc to it as well. If interested, let me know and I can get pics too. It is the black limited edition one. Pretty clean and good shape.

the harbor freight general ones aren't too bad. I've got two. Drawer slides are better than I expected, finish is kind of crappy, but whatever, it lives in my basement, not outside.

I'm still beating the crap out of a harbor freight tool box from 10 years ago. I need to upgrade, but its going to cut into the cost buying more tools!

I'm about 30 min from Merriville when I'm in town, which would be thurs-sun. I can't do Wednesday.

Nothing too exciting going on except paintball on Sunday l, but you'll be out of town.
