Merry Christmas y'all!

It will be a good Christmas, having lunch with Sarah, her parents and her Grandma at her Grandma's assisted living facility. Have to go into work about 4:15, but at least it is 2.5x pay.

Worked until 3a, up at 8 to open presents with the kids. Back to bed in a few so I can work again tonight at 5... for regular pay.

Merry Christmas!

Was home early last night, around 10:30. Had a few beers, kids said it was Christmas at midnight so we let them open presents. Went to bed around 2:30 and spread some holliday joy to T ;) , just now waking up.

MERRY CHRISTMAS MWC!

I worked 2pm to 630am last night, on my day off. Working right now from 2pm to 1030pm, on my day off.

Three shifts will equal almost two weeks worth of pay...plus 3 days back to take off later, plus my two days back for being off, so five days back total.

We celebrate Christmas on a day other than Christmas or Christmas eve...

I got a new big daddy toolbox for the shop....it was my present to myself :D I thought that surely a nearly 6' tall x 5' wide tool box would fit all my tools in it....wrong, good thing I still have my other two roller units. One of these days I would like to find a "deal" on the Snap-On or Mac mega units....until then (or death) these will do.

I have been thinking about picking up something like that, but the tools just end up spread all over the garage floor and work bench......I have 4-6 sets of wrenches so it's always easy to find the size I need.

My OCD sucks, I have a select spot for every single tool and I wipe them off before put away. It drives my buddys crazy when they come out to help at the shop. My onboard tool sets in the chore trucks are the same way, I know the instant something is missing or misplaced. Now Camille and her dad are total opposites from me, they have a box that they throw shit in, and if that dosent work, they grab a 5 gallon bucket and throw shit in it.....highly unorganized and quite unproductive due to lost time on most projects......good thing she is hot.

I live it man...it sucks for others, but it works for me. Even to the point of drawer labeling on my toolboxes.....my father-in-law says I am just making it easier on the theives. I told him I am so organized that even with teh 1 in 100,000 chance that a theif woudl steal my tools, I could have a list to my insurance company and the pics and inventory of the tools faster than he could figure out what he was missing. I can assure him that my way is better, but he is old school and tells me to piss off. :D

I got a vet bill for Christmas, that's just what I wanted!

it used to boggle my mind when i was a kid... my father would take something apart, throw all the pieces around the bench, and somehow get it back together. meanwhile im laying everything out nice and neat so that i can remember how things go back together.

now.... i find myself doing the exact same thing. lol. i usually take a small bucket to throw nuts and bolts into which makes picking all the tools up when im done easier too. but i will say that im more OCD about my tools. they get put away asap so i can take inventory.

had the same giant portable craftsman set since i was 18, still not missing a piece of of it.
